Good overall book, just don't know about the finish. Kind of left me like "eh? Really?"

I listened to your explanations, and that helped me piece things together, making the book much better.

Could "The Master" that the scientist is offering her to work with, be her father??

We've had the character from Wrath of the Eternal Warrior that was studying immortality. My initial take is that it was him.

I think that they wrapped up the Dracula bit carrier over from the previous issue a bit too quickly so they could lay out the origin story. This mini could have used an extra issue. Or they could have printed the origin story as a standalone Zero issue, which probably could have helped with sales a bit.

It was an ok finish. I commend the writer’s attempt at retconning this character into continuity with the brothers and the boon. Ultimately though, this character is C list and her power (bloodlust in others) isn’t great and doesn’t lend itself to particularly interesting stories. Essentially the 4 issues have been a lot of War monger with people in the background killing a each other...it’s just not that interesting :?

Elements of the story was interesting though, particularly her relationship with Forgotten Queen and that fact that a mystery person wants her skills for some reason.

3.75/5 for this issue

3.5/5 for the series

Just read this in two sittings. I thought it was great overall. I think it's terrific that they were bold enough to go back to the hours before the boon was activated, and even add a new Anni-Padda. I hear board members complain about how disjointed the books are... what could be more connected than that?

Honestly, I didn't think all that much of Warmonger during Unity... but this really surprised me. Very happy with this mini. :thumb:
