I was assuming it would set the all-time record at $40,000 or above. I would have been surprised but not shocked by $50,000. I didn't even entertain the idea it would be $40,000 + $50,000.

When more international money comes into the hobby, I believe there will be a few year run on massive prices for the true grails.

I’m not surprised.

Is the 90K spent better on a fancy car or this book?

I’ll take a 9.6!

This book is so incredibly rare. Ive never been able to own any copy. Ive never seen a 9.0 or better in the flesh.

The book, hands down. Especially if you are an oil sheik.
And I love what you said here about international money. I couldn't agree more. The only downside to this is the number of books that will be dispersed globally rather than concentrated in America, as far as supply goes.

A friend of mine (Speedy on this site) has 1-4 at 9.6 or better. Damn, he has got to be excited by this news!

I've got a full run of TMNT vol 1, minus a couple of the City At War Issues and a first print of #1. LOL! I'll never buy one...

I’ve been talking (and posting on a few other places) about the effect of international money.
It will be a game changer.
