EGS Grading Service

Post by mkb28 »

Has anyone heard of this grading service before? Here is an eBay link to a graded comic:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Eternal-Warrio ... SwQOFeFo2D" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Thanks,

Michael

These pop up from time to time... they're a self-grading service. Notice how the seller is in the same town (probably the same house) as the grading service.

Sure, anyone can grade their own books and anyone can buy plastic and slab their own books, but to also pretend they've been "independently graded by an impartial third-party" is a scam.
The serial number on the back is hilarious. They will eventually grade more comics than the number of grains of sand at a beach, but for now, they're on #246. :lol:

Consider the book "raw" at or below the grade listed, then see if the price looks good. My guess is... it doesn't.

But wait, Greg, what are you saying? :D Why don't you trust this man? :hm:

Somewhere, a Foot Locker is missing an assistant manager. Or... maybe not? Maybe the EGS guy still has his day job?

Sure, when there are 246 EGS slabs, he can keep on working a day shift, but when he gets up to 24600000000000000000000 slabs, it might be time to give his two-weeks' notice.
