What was the Worst DMG/Valiant Series!?
Alright, deciding which was the best was pretty straight-forward. Rai and Fallen World won by a wide margin. Incursion came in 3rd place, followed by Punk Mambo/Dr. Tomorrow (tie) and Killers.
Now for the fun part. Let the hate flow through you!
You're able to vote for up to 3 options. For the sake of hilarity, I combined Rai and Fallen World this time, in order to include X-O Manowar, due to the harsh fan backlash to the first issue. I left out a couple other books, so I'm sorry to any of the LaDoTH and Faith: Dreamside haters.

That anacronym has always been cumbersome to me
I've been looking everywhere for the ultra-rare Turok vs Blister issue. Anybody able to help me out?

Re: What was the Worst DMG/Valiant Series!?
could only submit two votes, as there were some books I just didn't read (Roku, Dr Mirage)
Bloodshot: Rising Spirit was just bad. Saved (a little) when Rahal took over. The last three issues made sense, art was decent, last arc gave us something (Blind coder: Hear no evil, See no evil, Speak no evil), but the entire first half of the book was a garbage fire! Art, missing panels, all bad
Psi-Lords: bad, just bad. Still stuck in my head "locally sourced grub" while they were stranded on a small asteroid or something like that. Maybe the story reads better when put all together? dunno. Art was distracting as well, just did not look good

Re: What was the Worst DMG/Valiant Series!?
Soooo many to choose from!
I went for -
Worst Bloodshot Rising Spirit
Next worst Psi Lords
Next to next worst Bloodshot (current)
2 out of the 3 are Bloodshot books in the the year leading up to the Bloodshot movie, the event which should have brought new readers into Valiant. The first ever Valiant movie and Acclaim 2.0 *SQUEE* it up....let that sink in!

Re: What was the Worst DMG/Valiant Series!?
Only 3?!?
I voted for:
Bloodshot: Rising Spirit
Psi-Lords
Visitor
But I definitely had mental debate about the need to include:
Livewire - I mean, really, this is absolutely as awful as the above
Forgotten Queen - I hated it, but mostly for being forgettable and generic and a terrible character
Punk Mambo - An absolute waste of time
Bloodshot - Seeley's writing on this seems like ADHD on speed
Roku - Right alongside Livewire as a NEEDS to be included in the above
I didn't get the last week of shipped books, so I have missed out on the travesty that seems to be the new X-O

Re: What was the Worst DMG/Valiant Series!?
Starting with the worst of the worst:
1. Bloodshot Rising Spirit- Just a travesty, from start to finish.
2. Livewire- Started off really strong, but somehow got worse with every issue, with uninspired dialogue, asinine action, a misunderstanding of Livewire's personality and powerset, and wow that final arc had some horrible art.
3. Roku- Honestly, this story is not a bad story. It gets bonus points for being utterly pointless and uninspired. I don't think Bunn even read Ninjak.
4. Quantum & Woody!- Nearly unreadable. It's just a bunch of mindless "jokes" with AWFUL pacing, and cluttered art. So disappointing.
5. Bloodshot- It's not horrible, but it gets bonus points because I'm mad at myself for giving this series 7 f**king chances before dropping it.
6. Forgotten Queen- Awful character. This shouldn't have been made at all.
7. Psi-Lords- Ugly art, stupid dialogue and characters, and a mystery that no one cared about.
8. X-O Manowar- Not a bad book on it's own, but similar to other books on this list, I don't think Hallum actually read the previous runs.
9. Dr. Mirage- Fundamental misunderstanding of the characters of Shan and Hwen, although it's bolstered by some incredible artwork and an engaging plot.

You should ask Rahal about his time on Bloodshot PRS, it enlightening to say the least.

Re: What was the Worst DMG/Valiant Series!?
Agreed! Think this was his third bail out of Valiant. I know he did Q&W's ongoing, picked it up and finished it. He also did Bloodshot, but I wanna say he finished off a story, and didn't get writers credit for it as well.Dallow Spicer1 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 07, 2020 10:21:26 amI felt sorry for him having to finish off that train wreck. He’s a decent writer and did what he could with that pile of trash that had preceded him.

Re: What was the Worst DMG/Valiant Series!?
My votes went as followed:
Bloodshot PRS - I really wanted to like this series because I liked the creative team involved. I just couldn’t.
Roku - the art was bad and changing the fundamentals of the character led me to hate this book. Bad dialogue was no help.
Dr. Mirage - this changed everything about this once strong intelligent female character, and not in good ways. The art was fine and I loved the coloring. I think I would give the writer a pass because I think this was a editorial mandate.
New XO is ok to look at, just don’t look deep. .. and if you read XO before, forget it. This ain’t that.
Livewire - I wanted to like because of Vita, but I only caught the end and I am sorry I did.
Psi-Lords - I actually enjoyed the end. I again did not come in at the start but the ending issues did make me want to read more.
Bloodshot - sorry I love Brett Booth’s work so I will keep getting it even if the story is not doing it for me.
Rai - there is no way this should be on this list. The book is excellent in every part of its execution. The best DMG series by a country mile!

He did some fill in work, but I asked Brett on Twitter and he said he is working on pages right now...this was just before the pencils down order.
