Sooo....who's still here from "BTC"...?
"BTC" being the mystical lost time "Before The Crash" of Feb, 2004.
I can only remember:
Greg
Me
BTE
Myron
Anybody else...?
(That was a funny day, Feb 4, 2004. I thought the world had ended. This was the only message board I was part of, back then. I could not believe that the entire ValiantComics.com went down the tube. Yes, it was "ValiantComics.com" long before it became "Valiantfans"....)

The "day the board returned" was Feb. 4, 2004. I think it had been down a while before I realized it was gone forever. I had to get a whole new everything... it was the hosting company that went down... Endore.com... thousands of customers.
Here is some internet archaeology of that event that affected thousands of website owners:

I was on the original board. Can't remember if I used the same screen name but likely I did.
I did not register for the new boards until about a month after (March 2004) they were launched.
I might have the record of the longest time between posts - March 18, 2010 to June 30, 2018. And I had a break between 2007 and 2009 and 2004 and 2007.

I was a lurker and had an account. I can't remember the name. Might have been nycjadie. Might have been something else. I used it to buy some old pre-unity issues, and get info back in the day when I was trying to rebuild my collection after college.

Not me. I think I started reading the board late 2004.
Signed on 2005, then posted 2006. I just checked, it 7 months before my first post and second post.
But i know Magnus R was on original board. Well I think so.

Anybody else still here from before the board there was a Yahoo Groups valiant group, I'm thinking around 1999 or so. I think it was run by a guy named Barry Reese. If memory serves Sonicdan was there, Michael Sacal(mota) maybe, a guy named Ant'ny who was BloodofHeroes on here ages ago, he was a top Bloodshot/Vanhook fan. Then when this board started it was godsend. Glad it's still kicking

Re: Sooo....who's still here from
Yahoo Groups was definitely the first "well-known" Valiant fans board online.Ryan wrote: Sat Mar 06, 2021 3:54 pm Anybody else still here from before the board there was a Yahoo Groups valiant group, I'm thinking around 1999 or so. I was on the Yahoo Group for Valiant - and it's the reason that I didn't start a messageboard at ValiantComics.com in 1999. Why make a second board?

I think a few of the guys suggested that I start a board anyway since ValiantComics.com is a pretty clear way for Valiant fans to interact once they're looking up Valiant info at the site and Yahoo Groups already existed for everything and most people didn't know to go searching for specific topics there (or AOL wouldn't ever suggest Yahoo locations).

In 2002, I agreed it was time so I added a board for discussions and another soon after that one crashed. The big crash was in 2004 --- but the 4th board for Valiant fans (Yahoo + three here) has been active since 2004 when I registered the ValiantFans.com domain.
