Archer and Armstrong Bootleg
I'm thinking about tracking down the Archer and Armstrong bootlegs, and I was. Wondering if anyone knew the size of the comic? Are they standard size, height and length?

Re: Archer and Armstrong Bootleg
It's essentially a regular piece of copy paper folded in half. I have an official bootleg, because I know the source, but most are simply photocopies of the bootleg. Bootlegged bootlegs. Valiant sponsored it, and it was distributed to certain stores. I don't think they actually publicly blessed it. Some made colored "variants." Hilarious.
BTW, there are 2 different bootlegs. The 2nd is the harder one to find. Got all this info from Rafer Roberts himself.

Rafer is going to be at C2E2, which is one of the reasons why I was thinking about tracking it down. Are they worth reading?

They're fun. I'm a huge zine fan, and love his style for zines. It's quirky and irreverent, so it works well, in my view. But it's just a fun story.

Archer and Armstrong Bootleg
In my opinion, these bootlegs are comic masterpieces. And that is why I compiled all the available original covers and artwork directly from the author (and in the case of the first bootleg cover, from a compassionate fan here on the boards.) Still intending someday to set up two portfolio books for my coffee table!
Which reminds me: I’m still missing 4 pages of original interior art from the first bootleg. I don’t have any leads, but perhaps someone here might be able to help me sleuth that out, hmm?

Re: Archer and Armstrong Bootleg
Sorry for bringing back an old thread, but I was wondering if anyone had scans of the second bootleg? Rafer posted the first bootleg to his website, I couldn't find anything on the second one. Thanks!

Valiant… bootlegs…
Re: Archer and Armstrong Bootleg
Havne't thought about the bootleg since it came out. Looking back this was probably one of the early seeds that became Bad Idea. It has more of a Bad Idea feel to it than a Valiant feel.

You could have also just bought a copy.
Unlike those fake counterfeits, the A&A bootlegs actually exist and aren't even that HTF!
