In some extent or another, perhaps so. Except I am not a cyborg. Yet.greg wrote: ↑Sun Mar 06, 2022 7:47:54 amSounds autobiographical.Chiclo wrote: ↑Sat Mar 05, 2022 9:03:00 amUnplanned obsolescence. Amorclads…hard pass*
Archer & Armstrong Forever…pass
Bloodshot Unleashed…pre-order editions added to pull-list
Book of Shadows…pre-order editions added to pull-list
XO Unconquered…pre-order editions added to pull-list
*No new Divinity book in four years, but we get Amorclads! (FOH!)
I’m all for new characters being introduced, but, come on man.

Whilst I’m optimistic about the new releases, as Churchill said ‘I’m hoping for the best but preparing for the worst’.agent_graves wrote: ↑Mon Mar 07, 2022 2:41:49 pm Amorclads…hard pass*

Aside from Rai (and Shadowman according to others) the treatment of characters has been a disaster (Bloodshot, XO, Harbinger, Savage), so before you go hoping for more Divinity I’d wait and see if they nail the 2022 releases first.

Re: Let’s get optimistic for 2022’s new releases…here’s a poll!
There is no new Divinity coming. I’ve been asking via twitter for years now, back when Robert Myers was running editorial, him and Heather Antos told me there were plans for Divinity, then NOTHING! I recently asked Greg, same response, they all love the character, but not this year. Every year it’s the same BS! Sh!t is sad, really. But I agree, if they can’t get it right, no need to bother.Dallow Spicer1 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 07, 2022 3:22:58 pmWhilst I’m optimistic about the new releases, as Churchill said ‘I’m hoping for the best but preparing for the worst’.agent_graves wrote: ↑Mon Mar 07, 2022 2:41:49 pm Amorclads…hard pass*

Re: Let’s get optimistic for 2022’s new releases…here’s a poll!
I would have voted for xo since it's the only comic book I get now.
Valiant has been such a let down I am not even excited for xo.
In the face of potential ww3, economic collapse and a recession I plan on saving my money because things are just starting to get worse in the world.
And I for one would like to ride it out without being homless.
I see 10 years of hard times ahead of all of us so no space in my life right now for floofy items like valiants bland stories written on stone aged information holding devices. =paper.

Re: Let’s get optimistic for 2022’s new releases…here’s a poll!
The poll is closed? Is that how polls work around here now?
I am looking forward to Book Of Shadows above all else on the list. Shadowman is still the only current Valiant title that I enjoy and pick up every month. More of the same (or better)? Yes please!
Hoping for a good A&A series too, I really miss those guys being around. They seem to be a really tough pair to get right though, considering all that has been published over the years.
Bloodshot… I am interested in checking it out again, but I did not enjoy the last run at all (what I did read of it). I don’t want to see more of that kind of same.
XO - again, the last series (what I barely managed to read of it) left a really bad taste in my metaphorical mouth. Becky Cloonan on writing duties is a BIG plus, but Liam Sharp is a BIG minus - I can’t stand that guys art. I can’t decide if these two polar opposites are going to cancel out my interest in trying this one or not.

I am looking at that art, and that is exactly why I’m not very keen on XO this time around.Dallow Spicer1 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 02, 2022 12:21:33 pm Only 17% for XO?? Just look at that art!
You people are insane

I should’ve left the poll open for longer, think I set it for 2 weeks. Don’t know if Greg can do some jiggery pokery and re-open it.grendeljd wrote: ↑Sat Mar 19, 2022 12:13:54 amI am looking at that art, and that is exactly why I’m not very keen on XO this time around.Dallow Spicer1 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 02, 2022 12:21:33 pm Only 17% for XO?? I must admit I didn’t like Sharp’s art on Hulk way back in the day, it seemed too muscular (muscles on top of muscles) as did his work on GL but the images of XO pulled me in. I liked his work on Batman so I’m hoping for that vibe or just something visually interesting.
What can we expect from Cloonan? Will she her rid of the tedious buddy cop thing with Shanhara? For me Shanhara shouldn’t speak.
