I talked to Alien on Facebook. They said they have brought up the Kickstarter many times with Valiant and have been told it will be fulfilled.

I'm sure that is what they're being told...but I'll believe it when the book is iny hand.

The thing is, Alien said the delay was understandable given all the editorial turnover, and I don't think that holds water. There are no editors at Valiant/DMG. The editors are now with Alien, who is apparently not publishing this book. Surely they need some additional graphic design work for print layout, someone familiar with publishing books, someone to arrange the sketches and autograph plates, etc. Who is going to do that if everything is outsourced to Alien who is not publishing this book? Who is going to get this thing made and turned around to fans?

Evidently some of my intel was wrong. I was under the impression lizard people couldn't read anything in parentheses. That's now disproven. All take note.

should we also start emailing the other license holders, and remind them that the Kickstarter is generatiing an even worse public image around the Valiant IP?
And ask that they put pressure on DMG to protect the image of their licensed material...

it's worth it to email each of these companies and hit them on social media.

Let them know the damage that DMG is actively doing to the IP they have licensed. Make them know that their sales numbers are ALREADY taking a hit... before their products are even on shelves.

Hell, might as well also remind them to be super careful making contracts with DMG... DMG is known to contractually acquire companies that sign contacts with them... and then drive those companies into the dirt.

I reported a different project to Kickstarter and got a reply the very next day.

Many people reported the Valiant one, and have seemingly gotten no response from Kickstarter... wtf do we do about that?

Was that a reply from KS, or an update from the project creator? I'll look again at KS and see what else we can do.
