Shill eBay seller - COMC

I bid on this item that sold for $6.50 yesterday. I was outbid. Not bitter at all. That's why I bid low.

2013 Rittenhouse Valiant Comics Previews SketchaFEX Sketch 1/1 Elvis Moura

Today, it popped up for sale from the same seller for $24.39.

It's allegedly a consignment store. Maybe the consigner didn't like the price? Seems dubious either way.

Absolutely a shill account.

50+ bids per day over the last 30 days, with 98% of bids on items from the same seller.

This is just so gross. I have many good friends at eBay legal. Do you think I should reach out to the seller before I reach out to eBay? I bet this eBay account is important to them. WWYD?

Since they are winning their own auctions, are they paying eBay fees to eBay when they pay themselves for the item? :hm:

I've often wondered the same. I used to see a lot more shill bidding in the late 90s/early aughts. This seems particularly egregious as it's a consignment store. I mean, they aren't doing the buyers or the sellers any favors.
