Sweet, you can tell why a lot of the early Harbinger faces didn't look like John Dixon-inked faces. It looks like Layton went in and redrew most of them. In a similar way that John Romita Sr. used to do for Marvel back in the day.

:o Top 5 single page (non-cover) in Valiant history in my opinion. Not only is it the first appearance of Rai, it's also the first non-Gold Key starring character, basically the first original Valiant character page. Harbinger 1 came out a few months later. Also the first major page penciled by Lapham, I think he'd only done some work on the wrestling comics before this. Bravo! :clap:

That is a gorgeous page, even aside from it being the first Rai!

I have the interior art for the full issues of Rai 6 and 7 and recently perused them. Super beautiful and nostalgic art for me (even if a bit wooden in places).
