He was acting kinda strange to me, like he was on some strong medication or very tired.Elveen wrote:Daniel Jackson wrote:The way he way acting on Jay Leno last night, I'm not even sure he would be able to find his way home on his own.....Elveen wrote:adammikael wrote:GBU?

Are you seriously kidding me? I saw one of those at that estate sale last weekend. Looked to be in very high grade. Shoulda spent the quarter to get it. Maybe next timegreg wrote:A reference to Shadowman Volume 3 #2 Variant, "The Good, Bad, and Very Ugly" (Good-Bad-Ugly, GBU)adammikael wrote:GBU?

A valuable book, price is very volatile, print run is likely 1,000 or less...
but sometimes found in clueless comic dealer longboxes...
who sell it for cover price ($2.50) or LESS!
High grade copies could break $200 easily on eBay.
No thanks.adammikael wrote:FMLYHM?

If there is a next time it probably won't be for a quarter.adammikael wrote:Are you seriously kidding me? I saw one of those at that estate sale last weekend. Looked to be in very high grade. I've owned two of the GBU and those are the only ones I have ever seen. Besides seeing others around here that have them.
I really do think that 750 of these were printed with an overprint of say 100 copies.
It's a treat finding one i did at SDCC last year and it only set me back $10.00 Good luck finding one.

I am hoping that history repeates itself this year for me.
Cosmic actually started in Lincoln, and had up to 3 shops there during the 90's boom. When the market started to collapse the owner closed the shops and became a history teacher.adammikael wrote: I have heard of Cosmic Comics, Knob. I hear it closed many years ago
Doesn't Cosmic make an appearance in Shadowman 16?

you know Bob Hall lives in Lincoln, right? We should have the party at his houseadammikael wrote:that would be really cool is Cosmic did. Since Shadowman was in Nebraska at one point.
We should have a Nebraska Chapter for the Valiant Community. Or at least a midwest chapter. We'll invite Daydreams from Iowa City too

Well, I got an email from Mr Hall the other day and he's going to let me interview him for my website and is interested in doing an in-store at my LCS in Omaha (LEGEND COMICS).
AND ..... Ostrander is at the Comic show in Des Moines on Saturday, so hopefully I'll get a TON of Magnus, Rai and Eternal Warrior signed.
Maybe I'll even have a few extra

Bump... Nebraska crew still kicking? Miss the days when Valiant and this board used to mean so much to so many people.
