Went to the Stockholm Comic Con this weekend. Unfortunately it's one of those cons that mainly has actors but they had a few comic creators as well and meeting Cary Nord and Mark Waid made it a great experience. Decided to get two (so called) sketches (but really much nicer) by Cary Nord.

One inside an already autographed hardcover and one on the back of an old sketch cover.

The winter edition of the Stockholm Comic Con allowed me to get four new signatures on my Valiant T-shirt and two new sketches.

Phil Jimenez (who has made a bunch of covers) and Agnes Garbowska (who made the cover that hides behind this sketch cover).

Brilliant artists and persons.

I would buy anything about these characters, sadly.

Awesome sketches, thanks for sharing! I especially love that color Nord one in your book, cool textures.

Sounds like you had a great time. :thumb:

I have an Agnes Garbowska piece on that same book! She was super awesome. She did mine at SDCC in 2015. It's one of my favorite pieces in my collection.

I had posted a good scan of it and I have it somewhere on a computer, but here's a picture of it:Image

Two new shows in Stockholm two weekends in a row and two new signatures for my t-shirt. First weekend I had the pleasure of meeting Khary Randolph who has done covers for VEI. Second weekend I met Chris Sprouse who did some covers for original Valiant and still remembered and talked about those days. He even gave me the tip to check out Twomorrow's Modern Masters book about him that reprints three more unpublished Valiant covers by him. Howard Chaykin was also there. Bit strange feeling because he pretty much badmouthed Valiant, but that was neglectable compared to the pleasure of talking to Chris Sprouse. Two good weekends for comics.
