Re-reading: Secret Weapons #3 (Cont'd from EW 16)
Continued from Eternal Warrior #16, Kinda.
I thought we could do a book a day (that way people can read one every day or catch up on weekends), talk about it on its own, in the context of whats next, in regards to what expectations it creates and vote on how good it is. I don't have to be the one that posts everyday. If I miss a day or if someone wants to take over please do
For voting think of your single favourite comic book (not just VALIANT) as the benchmark - thats a 10 - and grade according to that.
The voting (I'm hoping) will help new readers make more educated descisions. If this turkey files maybe we can even do a list of the books according to average voting grade.
Make sure to mention what you like'd about the book, what you didn't, what you wish they would have done, your favourite panels, lines of dialogue, little bits of trivia etc.

Secret Weapons #3
Horrible cover
Very weak connection to EW 16.
Lots of exposition so I guess it would be good for new readers but the plot sucks so they'd likely be turned off. The art isn't very good either.
I never knew Geomancers could feel Gils life signs. Is that in this issue only?
I never liked the Secret Weapons duo or thier lame powers and constumes. This issues constant chatter about who likes stronghold is very annoying. Geoff has it right when he says "you guys suck".
The image with the real NY photo in the background was pretty stupid. And why they couldnt find a photo newer than 1970 I don't know.
The nice thing about this book is that they fail and geoff has to get archer to help
Archer is never going to be a match for the speedshots (frankenstiens in bad suits) and he wasnt. Why didnt they kill him? Why do i even bother to ask.....
Lame ending.
continued in Bloodshot 11
I give it a 4

Not so much a crossover as a tie-in. Sort of a side result of Iwatsu going critical. Which is nice since all the parts of this story stand well on their own.
I LOVE the opening scene. One of the best single chase/fight scenes that Valiant ever did.
The rest is nice too. A good blend of humor and action. It may have been more effective if they had had more room with this story but the off panel rescue doesn't seem anti-climatic.
Great art. Good writing. The first really good issue of this series. An 8.
