I have always wondered what was included in the cancelled 'Director's Cut' of this story.

Has the full script or any of the additional art ever surfaced? I am sure I'm not alone in wanting to see this as it was a great way to start off the book.

There isn't much more in the comics world I would want to see than the Steel Nation extended TPB. Unfortunately I have no information, only hope that it will someday be released in its full glory, it that's even possible.

Do we know that it was new material intended to be included in the DC? Maybe it was just the addition of Magnus # 0 (which really belongs with the storyline. Whether they intended to include it or not, I don't know).

Wow, cool link!

I still think it would've been a mistake to exclude Magnus # 0, though. I consider it to be a part of the storyline, even if Valiant didn't.

This would have been great. I wonder how close to completion it was. Anyone have any additional info on this?

BART SEARS' X-O MANOWAR HC
This hardcover volume collects all of Bart's work on X-O Manowar to date, including covers, sketches, and lots of other truly neat stuff! Bart's work on both the onpoing X-O Manowar series and a special 16-page X-O promotional comic are included in this collection. This, Valiant's second hardcover, will be manufactured with the same high production values and loving attention shown the now out-of-print Solar, Man of the Atom: Alpha & Omega by Barry Windsor-Smith. Quantities are limited. No reorders will be available on this item.
HC $17.95

I tried to buy a page once that was one of the ones left out of Steel Nation. If I remember right it was from the big battle in #1 where Timbuc trashes the freewill meeting before Magnus gives him the signal. The page didn't add anything to the story, it was just extra robot smashing. Probably best that it was cut out.

I used to have a picture of what was supposedly the unpublished cover to the X-O Manowar hardcover...actually this was from the same seller as the Steel Nation page.

I lost both pics though

Do you know if the seller is still in possession of said pages?
I'd like to hear how much they were going for.

Has anyone seen the page dino was talking about? Who was the mystery seller?

Found Magnus #2 unpublished covers from dino's CAF gallery. These are not the referenced unpublished art but they're soooooooo beautiful. There are also other Steel Nation OA :o

From dino's post below, it sounds like Art Nichols had the unpublished Magnus Steel Nation pages.
