Do you dig alternative/underground comix? Two of the greats from the NATIONAL LAMPOON comix section are dropping in for the weekend. Shary Flenniken (TROTS and BONNIE) and Gahan Wilson (NUT!) will make their first NYC convention appearences in decades.
Cutting edge comic creators Kyle Baker, Chiff Chiang, Toby Cypress, Tommy Castillo, Phil Jimenez and Mark Texiera will be here. TOP TEN artist Gene Ha will make his first Big Apple Convention appearence!
Big Apple pays tribute to independent publishers past and present. The first ever East Coast Tribute to Valiant Comics will happen, featuring over twenty five Valiant creators including Howard Simpson, Jim Calafiore, Sean Chen, Mike Bair and Rodney Ramos. There will be lots of surprises. So meet the Valiant creators and insiders as we celebrate one of the great comic companies.

Some people spend their whole lives believing in fairy tales, usually because they don't want to give up the fabulous prizes.

I am flying in Thurdsay night and leaving the following Tuesday morning - flights are cheaper when NOT flying on the weekend, and my room is free, so I don't mind...daydreamscomics wrote:what times are people leaving on monday? who's flying out of La Guardia?

-slym (is flying into LGA - average $100 cheaper than JFK, 'cos it's not an International Airport)

I don't know if I've mentioned this or not already, but is there some sort of "ValiantFan" itinerary for the show we should know about? Also, on svair's suggestion, I still do not have a ticket for this con - has anything come of this yet?
-slym (hopes he doesn't sound impatient)

Again, not trying to sound impatient, it's just the show is looming SO close!
Thanks, BTE - and a big thanks to John for ALL of his trouble. How will we ever repay him???

Thanks John for all your work on this meeting. I was getting a little concerned about not having a "meeting event schedule". I'd hate to show up and miss something, because I couldn't find it! Should I still hold off on buying a ticket to the Con?
Thanks.
Sean
Thanks.
