In no real order:
Rai 0 - because of the story
Eternal Warrior 1 Gold Embossed - cause it's shiny and kewl
X-O 1 - VALIANT character with the most mainstream appeal and I love the cover.
Quantum & Woody 0 - Loved the series, in love with this book (I buy it whenever I can) - Yeah it's Acclaim, but so what
Shadowman 1 - This is the book that I always wanted, but couldn't afford back in the day
.....and if the Q&W 0 doesn't count since it's acclaim, I'll go with A&A 0 Gold - the only pre-unity variant and my fav VH1 title.

1. Archer & Armstrong #3. The first true A&A story. Very funny and a great start to the title. Forget that boring UNITY *skree*!!!
2. Eternal Warrior #1. Origin of the eternal brothers. Very good read!!!
3. Rai #0. Need I say more??
4. X-O Manowar #0. Killer cover and helps explain X-O's origin ten times better than X-O #1.
5. Rai #3 . The neatest looking Valiant cover IMO.

Five individual issues, not runs? Hmm...
Magnus 5 - full introduction of Rai
Solar #1 - just a classic
Shadowman #1 - see Solar #1
Rai #7 - death of the original Rai
Rai #0 - 'nuff said
-slym (this list could change day-to-day)

Some people spend their whole lives believing in fairy tales, usually because they don't want to give up the fabulous prizes.

i think iron man john cheated!
a & a 11 is a good choice. there were a bunch of good ones.
the one's with mahmud were really funny. the best part is that bws is really ripping on leaders of every type of faith without doing it in an obvious way...good writing...contrast that to the wildcats books from the same time that have dan quayle possessed by some kinda demon, and the big guy telling him to shut up potatoE head...not quite on the same par!
i also think that magnus predator is very underrated.

Hahahah.
You know what? I had this whole thing just typed out, but I.... just can't.... lmao.. no didn't cheat, honestly that's my list by virtue of Valiant continuity, the list is bound to be more than single issues...
lol. But maybe I DID miss the point of the thread
I remember when I was younger just as Valiant was making it big, I said at one point "even if this company goes out of business, these books will be worth something because they never print more than the current demand...."
And lo and behold the books are worth.... something......

Heh... and just think, ZWH was running a special on those things! He had a pile of them, selling them for $9.95........dellamorte wrote:Harbinger #1 It took me forever to find a copy I could afford and it was worth every penny.
(sorry to scramble your dream like that, Z!)

In No particular order...
Harbinger 1 : Bought it the day it came out. Still have the same copy.
Solar 1 : BWS and a classic character. Does it get any better?
Shadowman 1 : Great character and storyline.
Magnus 0 : The book I could never afford until I got a real job
Solar 10 : The solid black cover made such an impression on me.
