I have less than 150 copies of Eternal Warrior 5 and HARDCorps 1.Rai-fan wrote:C'mon Greg. We want numbers! First you tease us by only listing a "partial" on your inventories, & now you won't even list how many Magnus 5, Solar 1 or Eternal Warrior 5s you own?
Are we talking short boxes here? Long?
Less than 100 copies of Magnus 5.
Less than 75 copies of Solar 1, Rai 1, and Turok 1.
That takes care of the top 6.
I have between 40 and 65 of the next dozen books,
which include Bloodshot 1, Shadowman 19, and Predator vs. Magnus 1.
Rounding out the top 25 are books with between 30 and 40 copies.
Not all are valuable... there are lots of 1993 commons in there.
For the more valuable books, I bought most online as "Near Mint" pre-CGC,
so I would imagine that I have hundreds of VF books that I paid the top eBay Near Mint price (at the time).
My collection grows much more slowly now, since I rarely win books on eBay,
I don't/can't buy them locally (none available), and my purchases of CGC graded books
more-or-less ensure the great condition, but cost more to do so.
Selling is a "need to" scenario for me, and luckily, I haven't "needed to".
I'd still rather have a Magnus #5 for $3 than whatever's being published today,
so I'm still more likely to buy a 100th copy of it than a 1st copy of something else.
Some days I might feel bad for guys who don't have one copy of some books,
but my collection is less than 1% of the print run of any of these books,
and usually it's less than 0.01% of the print run.
With 99% of the books still available, these "hoards" aren't even a drop in the bucket.
If anyone can't find a book they need, they probably just haven't offered enough $.
(That includes me, since I don't have a Bloodshot 0 Platinum... because I'm too cheap.)

i'm not worried about the recent price increases. if i can find them for a couple bucks or less, i'll pick them up forever.lobo wrote:Are you still hoarding these as the run as gone up substantually in price? I have a small stash as well, gathered over the last few years on the cheap, but have parted with most of it now for decent coin.daydreamscomics wrote: the only thing i hoard is moon knight #55 - 60 (stephen platt covers)
