My choice would have to be X-O #0. A great story featuring the origin of my favorite Valiant hero.
Although issue #1 would be a close second...

My only problem with X-O #0 is it's a two-minute read! It's beautiful art, but beyond that...k_c_collectibles wrote:My choice would have to be X-O #0.

Some people spend their whole lives believing in fairy tales, usually because they don't want to give up the fabulous prizes.

C'mon Slym - dive in and make your choice! Okay I may wish to change my own soon as I may have been impulsive....slym2none wrote: -slym (still hasn't figured out his one-and-only choice)
I am waiting for the thread for completists - the one book you could live without in your collection therefore ruining its completeness...

I always felt this issue was a bit of acap of a greatarc, and when this ws release it was pretty hyped (for a non-debut VALIANT book) and epitmized kick *SQUEE* comics to me.
Most people, myself included, hung in for Harby 25 and the climax of the Pete/Harada storyline. I think it didn't live up to expectations, especially after the 10 issues of hype that came before it.
Like I said in a earlier post here, it "should've have been" the book, I think this was a huge example of how VALIANT dropped the editorial ball after Mr. Shooter was ousted. Harbinger was Shooter's baby and after he left this book had the sharpest decline in quality in my opinion.
And so, I stick with my first choice, Solar 10.
I am selling "nothing" on ebay-yet.

I agree, Harby #25 could have been a masterpiece with Jim at the helm, but at least it was better than what came after it <shudder>.wrunow wrote:Jay Tomio wrote:Apparently not a popular pick, but I enter the question assuming we bring with us the knowledge we already have of previous issue and the storyline, thus I'd pick a later issue, and specifically Harbinger#25. My first instinct is to name off one of my favorite Q+W books, but I have to go with Rai #0.

Just to be fair about this... MotA's gonna come at you from the left (for the Q&W). And I'm gonna kick you in the balls and kick you while you're on the ground (for Q&W and Rai 0).dantheman wrote:My first instinct is to name off one of my favorite Q+W books, but I have to go with Rai #0.

Agreed. Harby #25 could have been the definitive post-unity Valiant. It was still pretty good, but it could have been SO much more.Daniel Jackson wrote:I agree, Harby #25 could have been a masterpiece with Jim at the helm, but at least it was better than what came after it <shudder>.wrunow wrote:Jay Tomio wrote:Apparently not a popular pick, but I enter the question assuming we bring with us the knowledge we already have of previous issue and the storyline, thus I'd pick a later issue, and specifically Harbinger#25. Harby 25 was a good read, I liked the ending where Peter is just leaving and (at the time) you have no idea where he is going. However, I don't know if him just leaving fits in with the character, I would think after Unity he would have learned that you just can't abandon your life's battles.wrunow wrote:Jay Tomio wrote:Apparently not a popular pick, but I enter the question assuming we bring with us the knowledge we already have of previous issue and the storyline, thus I'd pick a later issue, and specifically Harbinger#25.
