CGC SIGNATURE SERIES BOOKS....WOW

Post by wrunow »

Just saw these come up on ebay, first VALIANT ones I've seen and they look sweet.

I want the Solar 1 in a bad way, I think I'll have to fight with dino for it though!

Those are cool, that would actually be a cool way to do one of the next VcVSS. It's a little more expensive, but you're getting the CGC grade and authenticity of the signature. Anyone ever send books in to get the signature series treatment?

How do you do it, I would think the CGC grader would have to actually see the creators sign the books, don't they? Anyone know anything about this?

CGC Signature Series books (Yellow label) must have a CGC representative
present at the time of the signing.

Notice, all of these books are from the Motor City Comic Con...
so CGC was there, Shooter was there, (and other signers) and
the owner/submitter of the books was there.
You've got to have all 3 (or more) to get the Signature Series CGC yellow label.

All other signed books will be green label if they are submitted to CGC.

Man, whomever gave Jim the Solar 10 to sign should be drawn and quartered. Talk about defacement. At least have him sign the back cover.

And, why did he sign that Solar one under the "O"? Ugh! The X-O is ok, though. :-)

One thing, I don't think the owner of the book actually has to be present at a show to get signature series books. I know Paradise Comics in Toronto will accept books and put them through the signature series process, they used to have a price listed on their web site for it, but now you have to contact them:

http://www.comiclotto.com/clients/parad ... cs/CGC.htm

I was thinking of sending in my Cerebus #1 even though it's lower grade.

I guess that means you need: CGC rep, signer, comic rep.

:)
