Amazon only enters a small quantity into their system inventory at a time...D_N_G wrote:Looks like Amazon is now out, link has changed to a pre-order button
I believe I saw the "only 4 copies left" note last Sunday night as well.
They will have more copies almost immediately...
so it's only a pre-order in the sense that their computer
isn't up-to-date all the time. There are plenty of books.

Laugh all you want Greg. least you have one. What about those who pre-ordered or even pre-payed through their LCS's or on-line dealers? What about them? Now they have to get a refund and buy through someone else? What if they're out of stock?greg wrote:ckb wrote:Given that Diamond probably just cancelled thousands of orders, I can't say I disagree.greg wrote: There are plenty of books.![]()
Yes, that and the fact that the book isn't going out of print anytime soon that I'm aware of.
Diamond dropped VEI for a reason.
Who's to say that other outlets wont drop them?
Then what?
If I go into my LCS on Wednesday and they do not have it VEI might lose a customer.

I've got a copy coming for you through Amazon for the auction you won supporting Knightt's Cystic Fibrosis campaign.
I was more mad for everyone else here who had order more than one copy and they weren't going to able to get them than mad that I wouldn't get one for myself, and although I still want the book but as long Knight gets the money for CF Foundation then I'm happy.

I ordered two copies through MailorderComics, who orders their stuff from Diamond.
I just emailed them Walter's post, but I doubt they'll use this new service. They didn't do it for Future Comics.
I'd like to have gotten an HC, but it's not looking likely.
Ordering from Amazon, B&N, and any of those guys is extremely cost prohibiting due to how much they charge for shipping printed matter to Hellxico.

I don't have a clue, guess we'll find out. I really thought I had my bases covered on this one. Two from DCBS and one from my LCS (at a much higher price) just to promote Valiant.jedimarley wrote:" Valiant Retailer Direct "Daniel Jackson wrote:What about DCBS? Am I going to have to reorder from them?
Will they deal with them?

Yeah, it's probably too late for a response now, but I wish I knew so I could make up my mind whether to order a couple from Amazon or not.

Realistically, there have been enough copies printed to cover all the pre-orders. Even if Amazon is the ONLY place to get them, they'll be able to fill orders/re-order/etc... for a while.Daniel Jackson wrote:tssgery wrote:I really don't expect an answer until tomorrow.Daniel Jackson wrote:Cool, hope they respond quickly.tssgery wrote:I just sent an email to DCBS asking them... will post the answer when I get one.jedimarley wrote:" Valiant Retailer Direct "Daniel Jackson wrote:What about DCBS? I would be completely surprised if a day or two makes a difference.

It was 25% discount, so for the two HCs they charged me $37.42 ($18.71 for each).daydreamscomics wrote:what was your order total with shipping from MOC? if they bail on you and i can match it, i will.
As for shipping, they charged me $36.55 for an order of 65 comics, which included those two hcs, one from Marvel, and Previews (I mention that in case weight is an issue).

Let's hope so anyway. DCBS and Amazon had the best discount of anyone. I would hate to have to pay full retail for three books if I don't have to. Especially since I ordered them waaay in advance.tssgery wrote:Realistically, there have been enough copies printed to cover all the pre-orders.
