The pricey ones?

Comic universes no longer active, Bravura, Continuity, CrossGen, Future, Malibu, Ultraverse... and others that are 'no longer with us' today (or only recently brought back).

Valiant has CEAR and Turok EB to name a couple pricey books, but what are the hard-to-find expensive books in the dead universes?

well crossgen used to have sojourn prelude and # 1 but i recently got those for 50p each so not so sure anymore. Although i think we might see a similar trend for later issues as for valiant ones. hard to find small print runs etc.

i cant say the same for broadway apart from the one that was binned on mass scale(cant remember the name. help me out here).

continuity has none surely.

comico has some *SQUEE* elementals to get but not pricey.

Defiant nope.

Ultraverse maybe a few holofoils might hit $10?

Bravura, atlas milestone, future, epic, techno, triumphant, comics greatest world no !!!

2099 i sold some later issues for £7.50 each so who knows.

someone must have a story of a $20+ issue from some mentioned here?

no?

If you see a copy of the last issue of Ruse, number 26 at a decent price, you should pick it up. It's not as pricey as the two you mentioned, but is rarely offered on eBay and Mile High and Lonestar are out of it.
Also, the last issue of D.P. 7, #32 is getting hard to find and increasing in value. Again, not through the roof in value, but climbing.

Nice book. I've been reading the Star Seed issues for the first time. Two more to go.

Origin of the Defiant Universe is a high-*SQUEE* too.

Ultraverse hologram cover prices are very subjective. I'd probably pay a bit for certain gold hologram covers, but wouldn't pay $4 for (another) Ultraforce 1 Gold. The Break-Thru 1 Ultra 5000 might also garner a quid or two.

It is? I thought Birth was the high dollar one.

Maybe I am thinking of Birth.

I am drinking Ziegen on a relatively empty stomach and am feeling quite light-headed.

What about Rune #0 in tip top condition, $3-$10 ungraded, CGC 9.8? probably not worth it but then in a decades time who knows.

Sent it in myself!

Only 9.6 on the census, none higher (no 9.4's either). Just me and Mile High's 9.2...

Origin of the Defiant universe does have a few con exclusive variants with cards in them that I have seen before. Although Birth of the Defiant Universe is the book to get!

Miracle on Broadway was limited to only 1,150 copies. Most of these were given away to staffers and industry people (comic and non-comic related) with a box of crayons. How many have survived in any condition? :?

It's doubtful than many of those people saw it as a potentially valuable collectible. I bet a bunch were tossed.

Yeah , he was bragging on another website (Going by Abomination I believe) about having 2 Cyberrad TPBs, but that he wouldn't trade 1 of them because they were real rare and he was trying to put two sets of Diamond TPB's together of these. So I'm not to sure how rare these are but I don't see them come up to often on E-Bay. I'm still holding out to get 1 under $25.

Yeah, the Cyberrad trade doesn't come around very often. I have a nice collection of the Diamond TPB's...recently picked up the Spider-Man one which is one of the more expensive ones.

Here's one on eBay, not too bad of a price if it's truly in NM. I've seen them go for more.

The Fatale hardcover from Broadway Comics goes for a few bucks when two bidders are on it. I've seen it up around $100 a bunch of times.

A Rune 0 and Rune 1 are the only CGC books I own, both 9.8, and went together, to me, for the whopping opening bid of (if I remember correctly) $24.95 (plus shipping, of course). Either way, not much now, but gorgeous BWS covers. And I just wanted some cheap 9.8's with decent cover appeal to help refine my grading. Now looking for some 9.6's that are not dumb books to own in 9.6
