Any story post unity worth reading???

Post by Fanboy375 »

Ok, I started to reread the entire valiverse.

I noticed after unity the stories didn't seem like they were worth anything. What was your favorite posy unity story arc and why?

I have to say for me it was BWS issues of Archer and Armstorng (1-12) ans Eternal Warrior (6-8)

Shadowman was good just about all the way through.

But I would say that A&A was the best, until BWS left.

I also liked most of Ninjak, maybe the best end of a run.

thought Magnus stayed pretty good until the mid 30's...where ever the 20 year jump took place...

solar until the destroyer issues...

bloodshot for many issues...well into the 30's

harbinger until 26

Those would definitely be picks of mine too.

I would also include X-O Manowar up until issue #43 (before Birthquake)

yeah...although I lost X-O earlier than birthquake or wolfbridge or whatever it was at that point...somewhere in the mid 30's

Thats a good point. I'm due for a re-read. I hung in there for a while, but the elimination of the supporting cast is when it completely stopped being the X-O that had become my favorite book. But even before then, there was something that had been missing from the series. Maybe I can express wha that missing something was better after a re-read.

I loved all of the X-O. I'm almost done reading the series (issue 61)

Bloodshot, Rai, Shadowman, The Visitor, as series.

Anything by VanHook, as a rule.

I liked Shadowman. Harbinger until 26. A lot of the X-O issues. The BWS A&A.

I liked others as well but it got spotty for me (and it has been a while since I have read a lot of those books). Looks like I have a lot of reading to do!!

You may want to stop reading Bloodshot when you see a clown on the cover.

Many good choices listed above. :thumb: I'd throw the "Bad Penny" story from Rai in the mix. :)

Uzzi is a parody of the Punisher! See, that was VanHook and Vosburg calling the Punisher a clown...

It was!

I'm in the minority, but I really liked the "Malev War" Series that ran from Magnus #21-38 next to the Rai & FF series.

Perhaps not the vast minority you think.

It certainly wasn't Steel Nation, but I liked that arc, particularly on the Magnus side of things.
