Nice of you to lower / correct the calculator, but what about the shipping costs here?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 49561&rd=1
These Valiant Voices barely weigh anything. $13 to ship?? Good Lord. Do you want my firstborn child too? Maybe you should avoid using the shipping calculator if you want to give people fair estimates. If you are out looking to gouge on shipping, continue on as you were.
BTW, welcome to the boards!!

Thats a bit harsh man, I know i've had problems with the shipping calculator when I sell too. That thing can be tricky. This seller seems to be open to fixing any shipping problems and thats the best thing for a seller to get.400yrs wrote:Nice of you to lower / correct the calculator, but what about the shipping costs here?

I just find it funny that he reduced his shipping to $1. Imagine how that might arrive. Maybe the comic would be folded into a letter sized envelope. Or if that didn't work, maybe the pages would be cut up to fit into an envelope. $.37 cost, $.63 dealer profit.

Idea? What the heck is an idea?dino wrote:There's an idea in here somewhere.$.37 cost, $.63 dealer profit.
I'd just like the seller to clear up exactly what He/she plans to charge. So far we have seen $9 for one comic, then $1 for one comic and $13 for Valiant Voices. None of those seem like reasonable numbers. Combine that with the fact that he lists every comic he is selling as "Mint" and I think some clarification is in order if he is coming to the forum complaining about being ragged on. BTW, happy bidding.

You're right though he should clarify his shipping costs

What I like is that he says that he will not hesitate to leave negative feedback if payment isn't received in 2 days, but then he pleads for any buyers to contact him before they leave any negative feedback.
This guy is from my city. I'd like to find out who he is. Sounds like either he is a lawyer or thinks he is a lawyer.

Well...I'm not *quite* sure why his/her war within would have prevented the US Mint from producing proofs, especially with the far BETTER reason of the devaluation of our nations' coinage (essentially; all silver was removed from quarters and dimes, most silver from halves, starting with mintage date 1965...the Treasury WAS in a bit of a mess from 1964-1969, but this was "do" to economics at HOME, not the Vietnam war...which, really, didn't take off until about 1967, earlier offensives aside.)dave wrote:perhaps it was, "the war within". you NEVER give anyone the benefit of the doubt. meanie.
And....in fact...there WERE proofs made between 1965 and 1967...just clandestinely. We know for sure of two: two 1966 nickels given to Felix Schlag to commemorate the addition of his initials as the coin's designer.

Isn't that the sickest kind of shill? Someone who uses tragedy to personally piggyback a HUGE profit for themselves?ZephyrWasHOT!! wrote:http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 25575&rd=1
So he still gets $2000 for a $50 book? Cool.
Let's hope no one's stupid enough to buy it.

Rip-off auction. $20 for a random silver-age book is ridiculous. Not that I would bid, but out of curiousity I asked the dealer if the ASM #1 was the record reprint and apparently it isn't. This auction will never get to 500 people though. I'm surprised 20 people have already been duped. That's $400 for the dealer. All 500 books sold would mean $10,000.
I could make a ton of money selling off my "random" silver age books like this, but I couldn't ever do it because I'd feel bad about it. Great way to get $10,000 out of some old ragedy books.
Magnusr or whoever was reporting this stuff to e-bay, this might be right up your alley.

Marley is my 6 year old daughters name. you can attack me all you want, but not my little girl. Maybe I should change my ebay name to 'flaming idiot'?

Hey, I'm just having some fun with you guys. I'm new to these forums.
I made a mistake in my shipping , fixed it . Everything I've writen here
has been toung n' cheek.
Let me pose a question,
How many sellers would come here and acknowledge there mistake?
Love, Your Ultra-Frickn' Flaming Sensitive Idiot.

Probably not too many, but not too many would come in here and be a prick either considering that the members here make up a large percentage of valiant ebay bidders. You've probably just excluded a lot of us from your auctions. I know I've got you on my "do not deal with this ultra-sensitive prick who can't get his shipping straight" list. And yes, that is an actual list!!
BTW, wasn't ripping on your daughter's name. I was making a Bob Marley reference. I happen to like Bob.
