I'll pay:

Sandman #8 Variant $65 STRICT NM (I give. ;) )
Grendel 1983 Mini ANY NM $20-$25
Primer #2 $30

Also...any Batman below #400....NM...will deal. Any Batman below #300...VF...will deal. Any Bats below #260-ish Fine or better...again...

Same with Tec #600, #500, and #400.

Yes, I have them already, but (A) I love Batman more than any other character, bar none, and (B) I may be able to upgrade. Only my 80's books are NM or better.

Would LOVE to get a nice VF/NM run of Rogers 'Tecs, without having to spend $300 to get them.

As always...you COULD put them on eBay...but you run the risk of them selling...to me...for much less. ;) Plus...you know I'm good for the dough (as can be attested to by numerous regs. :) )

Did you know, after Batman #429, there are virtually no keys in the entire run, with the exception of minor keys #436, 457, and real key #442 (which suffers from a dearth of copies)....until #488....then NOTHING until #608??

Amazing.

Well, ok, you can probably count #489 and 490, but they're minor keys....492 definitely NOT, nor 497....MAYBE #563, MAYBE....as a WAY minor key....

So...nearly 120 issues with no breakout keys. A shame.

That's like Hulk...after 182...200, 250...then nothin' til #330. Or Cap...#117 is the last honest to god key ish....then NUTHIN til #241....then not til #332!

Am I boring any of you yet? ;)

X-Men's a lil' different...it's got keys all over the place...BUT...after #142, you don't really get another set of nice keys until #210-213, and then not again til #248....then #266...then, ok, minor keys with the Lee and Portacio runs...

then...pffft!

Nuthin.

Funny how books fall into and out of 'key' status over the years.

Spidey's got lots of keys, especially from 1-328...then #344-347 (sorta)...then bona fide 361....then....pfft. Nuthin' again til Vol II #19. Then, of course, #30, and #36...thass it.

I wonder what we'll consider keys in 10 years.

Ok, I've bored myself beyond redemption, and my dogs haven't eaten yet.

I'm off.

Sooooo...what run of comics has gone the longest with no key issues...?

Cap...with 124 between #117 and #241 comes close.

Maybe FF? Any real keys after #112? Huh. No, not really!

Ok, FF....no keys from #112-#whatever they're calling it now.

That's the winner so far.

Unless someone can compellingly cite a key. ;)

Nope FF is pretty much the same old song and dance. Not much significant ever happens.

What about Thor? Don't have a guide around right now, but off the top I can't remember too much happening there.

Now why is Amazing Spidey #344-347 a minor key? Small glimpses of Cassady? I've been trying to replace my 345-347 copies because they were the first spidey's I bought from the grocery story and everyone thinks they will sell them for $2-3 a piece and yet they NEVER sell for that much. :?

Yeah, me too. Probably have about 10 copies of each. Love the yellow covered #345.....but the best is #347. :)
