Yes. Sal Velluto. It is beautiful. It was produced by the old Valiant Fan Club btw. There's some other great stuff from the same source.depluto wrote:I've got that Bloodshot litho too. Perlin did art for one part and somebody else the other (Velluto? can't remember right now). Pretty cool, though.

Back in Joe Petrilak days. You can read about some of it Greg has archived here.dino wrote:Whats the old valiant fan club? What else did they produce? When were they around? Thanks
Joe also did signed books (like we're doing now, kind of) under the names Acclaim Ink & Valiant Comics Online.
He did a Unity comic give away signed "To Be Continued..." by Jim Shooter to pre-promote Unity 2000 (I have an A&A #2 signed like this).
Produced an online Bloodshot card set that you could print out.
But the best I have is a signed copy of the illustrated book "Valiant: 1999 & Beyond" that is awesome.

I originally bought some Turok, Ninjak & Psi-Lord colors from Joe back in late 1998. It was a few months after he hauled a carload of stuff from the closed Acclaim (Valiant) offices.dino wrote:Incredible! I'd love to see scans Steve.
Joe was just a fan right? He didn't work for valiant? He did all these cool promos for the fan club? What happened to him? I know he dols his collection but how can someone who was so into valiant just give it up?
I don't know why he got out of it. Maybe he had a baby on the way. That seems to be a common reason for selling.
Greg & some others may be able to give more details about the club. I knew about it, but I wasn't a member. A friend of mine was, & that's where I got my Bloodshot litho, signed books, & "1999 & Beyond" book. I'll do some pics of it to post.

Joe Petrilak knew a lot of the Valiant staff, including Jim Shooter and the Acclaim EIC, so was about to get A LOT of valiant STUFF. He started the VALIANT ERA ONLINE fan site way back in 1994. Greg has his site archived here:

There's also the Ninjak litho that needs to be added.

heres the link
$41 is a little high for the litho (although its been much higher in the past). I think if it was to come up on its own it would sell for less. This auction had some very nice extras though.

I think it is worth it for the Litho alone but I really only bid on it for the extras. I don't think I have ever seen those promo flyers before and the oversize cards are kinda hard to find.dino wrote:http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 6504607238
