I won't be making it to the show but I saw that Sideshow Collectibles will be giving out free stuff there . .

Good luck to anyone that goes !! They give out some great stuff when they do promotions like this . .Attention collectors on the East Coast! If you are planning to attend the upcoming New York Comic-Con from April 18th-20th, be sure to stop by the UGO.com booth. The staff members at the UGO booth will be handing out Sideshow Gift Cards, valued from $5 to $50 and redeemable on select IN-STOCK product at SideshowCollectibles.com! Not only that, they will also be giving away a Sideshow prize EVERY HOUR during the Con!

Alrighty menfolk (ladies too, I suppose). Heading to work. Like the (decidedly uncorporate) wage-slave I am. Depending I when I can get out, I'll either be there today or tomorrow (probably not both) and Sunday. Today I'm jauntily sporting a t-shirt, beige in color, with Superman getting hit by lightning and saying "that tickles!", black jeans, all but shaved head, goofy facial hair and likely a biker-style jacket. So if you see me, I expect high fives. It is the law. And if you break the law at a comic convention, Sylvester Stallone will bust through the wall like Kool-Aid Man to enlist you for a two-man Judge Dredd sequel, never to go beyond Stallone's private library. I've seen it happen before and it was not pretty.

My agent said that he saw him in the Living Legends panel and spoke to him. He asked if Mr. Robinson planned on having a list for commissions and Mr. Robinson replied that he would be happy to sign some prints in Artists Alley......doesn't sound good.
Also, my guy mentioned that in the opening of the Living Legends panel that Mr. Robinson made a comment to the effect of, "I had a fan tell me that he had insured my $100 sketch for $300,000." So there may be some hard feelings about the secondary market.

Some pics from the convention:

What a back drop for a convention!

Inside the lobby of the Javits Center

The line waiting for it to open on Fri.

Nice statue of a legend

This old car had thousands of small drawings and illustrations all over it.

This guy was '2 popped collars' cool !

The actor who plays Peter Petrellie on 'Heros'

X-O panel with Jeff Gomez (mod.) , Sean Chen, and Crysulla Gomez.

'The Spirit' panel with Frank Miller and Eve Mendez posing together. (Frank's a stud!)

NY by night.
