Well.... it's Quesada, so... bleh, heh
I have to say . . at that point I loved Q's work on Ninjak . . .

The promo piece of art and the first few covers are still among my favorites . . .
I like the promo for issue 2, the skull with the water... but in general the art seems messy to me, and the bodies are way out of proportion.

Quesada doesn't deserve to be connected with Ninjak the way he is. He was a lazy penciller who was fired for being unable to meet deadlines after only two issues.

Mark Moretti is the one that deserves any accolades from Ninjak
What I mean is . .

The promo art got me excited . . I still love the chrome versions and the pin of that artwork . . . And even though the art was kind of messy . . I really liked the feel of it . . .

Some of Quesada's early work was awesome (The Ray mini-series comes to mind). But something happened :?

Agreed. That mini rocked.

I missed Q when he left, because he was one of my favorites as a kid, but I thought Moretti did a fine job picking up. Blackwater was a good story. The origin was even better. Ninjak is one of my favorite characters in the VU, but the art got so bad around the mid teen issues that it was painful to endure.

Yeah, the origin might have been the best stuff Moretti did with Ninjak, but if you want bad art, take a look-but not too long, you might go blind-at the final installments of H.A.R.D. Corps.

Probably my favorite Ninjak cover. I really like the coloring:

I seem to recall that someone here has the cover inks? Maybe it was the color?
