Valiant spotted on TV

Post by Blood of Heroes »

So I was watching a re-run of 'Malcom in the Middle' today and noticed something. At one point the youngest boy 'Dewey' is walking across the room reading a comic book. I thought it was strange that Mortal Kombat was still advertising on the back of comic books. So I hit rewind and paused the scene(I love my DVR). I couldn't believe my eyes. It was a Valiant book! I couldn't tell which one, but it looked like A&A. So I looked through all the covers online here and there it was, Archer and Armstrong #16. A booked printed in 1993 made it's way on to tv eight years later.

I took a couple pictures of the tv. They are a little grainy, but you get the idea.

The HARD Corps comic appeared on the rack of comics that Malcom's friend (I forget his name) had on his closet.

Yeah, I seem to remember others pointing this out over the years.

It was the Mortal Kombat ad that did it. It just seemed so out of place.

I think some Valiant books were visible (at some point) in the movie Unbreakable.

It's possible. Productions like that and Malcolm get their material from 25 cent bins.

It was the only thing the producers could find that was cheap.

X-Force copies had already been thrown out....
