How did Harbinger:The Beginning & X-O Manowar:Birth sell

I'm just wondering if the numbers were good because I'm looking forward to more trades of these as well as some of the other Valiant titles.

It's been brought up many times before and no one "in the know" has come across with any numbers.

Diamond estimate numbers are available for X-O Manowar: Birth...
http://www.icv2.com/articles/news/12593.html

#58 on the Top 100 Graphic Novels - April 2008 - X-O Manowar: Birth - 1,786 copies

That total doesn't include Amazon.com sales or any retailers using then Valiant Retailer Direct program.
It's likely that other counts aren't included either, like non-Diamond international sales. :hm:

I guess the latest press release answers my question:

June 7, 2008, New York, NY - Following the successes of its first two deluxe hardcover edition releases, Harbinger: The Beginning and X-O Manowar: Birth, Valiant Entertainment will release its third hardcover edition, Archer & Armstrong: First Impressions, on September 24.

"Our first two hardcovers have been big hits with Valiant fans both new and old," said Walter J. Black, Senior VP & Publisher of Valiant Entertainment.”

Boy, now I'm going to be promoting Wildstorm AND Valiant.

And I couldn't be happier about it.

My LCS got mine and one for the shop, the one for the shop sold within a week, so he'd order another. He said he's sold about four of each now.

Same happened with the XO HC at an LCS I went to.
