I think Dark Horse getting new Solar and Magnus stories is a key part of this equation.
If VEI does the same as Western Publishing and licenses their properties out to Dark Horse we could be looking at the rebirth of the true Valiant portfolio.
Dark Horse has all the necessary items to produce comics. VEI would have to build to the level Dark Horse is at.
It makes sense to me.

So, Freddy, what do you, Scooby, and the rest of the gang make that clue out to read?Geomancer wrote:I read "watch the skies" as a clue - but one that doesn't seem to fit VEI.

Some people spend their whole lives believing in fairy tales, usually because they don't want to give up the fabulous prizes.

It's the closing line form the original version of The Thing From Another World movie from the 50s.Geomancer wrote:I'd be inclined to hope for something with VEI too - if it weren't for the folowing comment about watching the skies.

My first reaction to the "watch the skies" comment would be some sort of crossover with Superman. That's just the first thing that comes to my mind. Though, I do think it would be awesome if VEI worked with Dark Horse to at least establish what happened to Solar, Magnus and Turok. I just hate to think that a new Valiant will come out and there will be no mention of these three again. It would just be a huge hole to their storylines.

Now that would be interesting, too. They did come out with a few interesting Thing from Another World projects a few years back.Cyberstrike wrote:It's the closing line form the original version of The Thing From Another World movie from the 50s.Geomancer wrote:I'd be inclined to hope for something with VEI too - if it weren't for the folowing comment about watching the skies.

How about the possibility of them referring to a project with DC and Superman?

Dark Horse had the rights to comics based on The Thing From Another World-80's Carpenter version-back in the 90's. Did some very effective and atmospheric work, too. This could be anything. Hmm.Cyberstrike wrote:It's the closing line form the original version of The Thing From Another World movie from the 50s.Geomancer wrote:I'd be inclined to hope for something with VEI too - if it weren't for the folowing comment about watching the skies.
