Saw in the November 2008 issue of Previews that Dark Horse is releasing a box of Turok cards.
Art appears to be covers from the Gold Key comics.

I hope this is a sign of things to come with a Magnus and Doctor Solar set on the horizon. A Star Trek set would be cool too but I think Checker Publishing Group may still have the rights.

If you follow the link to tfaw.com the pre-order price is $11.96 but I could not figure out what the shipping would be without actually opening an account and then beginning to submit an order.

My wife ordered a set online. Came in today, but we haven't had a chance to sit down and really look at them. I flipped through them while we were waiting for our food at lunch and the dinosaurs look pretty cool but at times, the designs seem overly baroque.

These are all 'new' covers' ? The original comic book covers are not in the set ? Or am I reading this wrong... are there 'chase' cards ?

It's a box set of 50 cards numbered 1-50. List price is $14.95.
I don't believe there are any chase cards.
From what I can tell they are recently painted works inspired by the classic Turok series.
The dinosaurs depicted are supposed to be more accurate based on what they now know instead of what was known in the 50's & 60's.

Ah gotcha... then this set is a NO-GO for me. I would LOVE to see the original covers in a card set.

Yeah I think they are well worth it. $14.95 for a nice box set of 50 cards with new art done in the classic Turok style.
My daughter got a kick out of looking these over with me too.
I'd love it if they put out a Magnus or Dr. Solar set as well.
