I saw this last year as i joined and told my wife and promised myself i would donate something this year, so with that in mind i will do mine through a board member who i speak to regularly and who i know will be donating too.

I trade as Dead Universe Comics in the UK, which is no surprise to those who know of my legendary Dead Universe habit.

America is a long way to send items.
I am donating closer to home.
Nb ~ for all those who do donate thankyou.
My son is disabled and received a gift last year as did my daughter, I was in tears and had to leave. Someone I did not know, or will ever know donated a toy to our family.
I did not expect it, I did not know what to say. I did not go there to receive a gift, I went there to support the organisation that supports my son.
I do not know to who this donatation of toys go to, but the effect it will have on the family is so much more than the gift itself.
It is one of the reasons I decided to participate more, donating more (time and money) to such causes.
We are not a family in need money wise, we MAY have been if not for the support that organisations give to our son to improve his developement. I was completely suprised for Archer to recieve a gift. No strings attached, just pure generousity from a complete stranger.
The good feeling you receive in giving, is nowhere near the the greatfulness the family who receives the gifts feels.
Thankyou to everyone who helps, no matter who you donate to, or how you help. Thankyou to the people who organise it aswell, its alot of hard work.
Love and respect. God bless you.

Yes, I will be. Although give me a day or so on that, as I *totally* forgot something very important.mrwoogieman wrote:Ric,
Are you going to be purchasing items locally as in past years? If so, I'd just as soon send you the cash equivalent for some items as it will cut down on shipping charges, potential damage in transit, and duplication of items.
Shoot me a pm.
