EVERYBODY STOP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Watchmen was mass produced and there is no need to buy these at all till they go back to all being $2.00 books.
The crazy prices are not sustainable
The same will happen when Wolverine comes out and the mass produced mini series will hit crazy prices only to fold incredibly afterwards.
I have a friend who has a long box of mass multiples of Watchmen and he is not alone.
Having spoken to maraxusofkeld about his sales i say fair play and well done for being on the ball way ahead of time and catching the people crazy enough to pay mad money.
For me though and anyone who is wanting to invest now is not a good time and not for six months at least.
$100 isnt too bad, but you wont get your money back much long after that.
Remember you heard it here first.

I just don't like the fact that the comics now go for a three- or six-issue story arc to fit into the TPB format better. It has made for some lazy writing at times, such as making a two-issue story drag out to three, et. al.Doorman wrote:same here. I'm all for comics. Why can't comic books be like when I was a kid???

Why give us a well written 1 or 2 part story when they can drag it out over 5 or 6 issues filled with 90% fluff and then follow it the next month after the story ends with a HC and two months after that with a TPB? Why get $6 out of someone for a 2 parter when you can get anywhere from $18-$60(including the HC and SC) for a dragged out 6 parter? I think it is pretty much that lunk-heads(like me in some cases )continue to buy the darn things.slym2none wrote:I just don't like the fact that the comics now go for a three- or six-issue story arc to fit into the TPB format better. I also wonder how good the condition really is after being "wrapped in cellophane for 15 years"!maraxusofkeld wrote:Take a look at this nonsense
