I think we're at about an inch and a half of rain for 2009.

We've had a fairly wet year so far, but nowhere near 28 inches of rain.

Nope! Actually, I'm kind of scared to.

My girlfriend jokingly asked me if it was for the next 'movie night'. I told her I wouldn't want to subject anyone else to it. :atomic:

Nah, that's cool. I'm not that desperate to see it, but I appreciate the offer.

I just won this huge lot of ASM's for my personal run.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 0398450200

I figured I take a gamble with this lot since the description was kinda vague, but I think it paid off. First off, major kudos to the seller for packaging it nicely. He had it double boxed/padded and insured for free. Here are what the books graded out using CGC standards.

Amazing Spider Man #49 8.0
Amazing Spider Man #50 8.0 1st Kingpin
Amazing Spider Man #53 9.2
Amazing Spider Man #55 8.0
Amazing Spider Man #77 6.5
Amazing Spider Man #80 6.0
Amazing Spider Man #82 4.0 subscription crease
Amazing Spider Man #83 2.0 subscription crease
Amazing Spider Man #84 3.0
Amazing Spider Man #85 2.0 subscription crease
Amazing Spider Man #85 6.5
Amazing Spider Man #91 4.0 subscription crease
Amazing Spider Man #93 8.0
Amazing Spider Man #94 6.0
Amazing Spider Man #95 4.5
Amazing Spider Man #96 9.0
Amazing Spider Man #100 9.0
Amazing Spider Man #101 9.0 1st Morbius
Amazing Spider Man #103 9.0
Amazing Spider Man #104 8.0
Amazing Spider Man #105 8.0
Amazing Spider Man #132 6.0
Amazing Spider Man #134 4.0
Amazing Spider Man #159 4.0 MJ Inserts
Amazing Spider Man #169 8.0
Amazing Spider Man Annual #15 8.5

Overall, I was pretty happy with what I got. What do you guys think?

For just over $300? If they are what they say they are, I'd say you got a steal!

Holy crap. Why did this go so cheap? The #50 alone is worth more than that...... and it has high grade 100 and 101. Great deal. I'd do that deal in a second to upgrade some of my copies. Nice. :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

I think the reason it ended at that price was people were probably afraid to bid due to the fact that the seller gave a very vague description on the condition of the books. Not only that, putting "AS IS" in the description is usually a big turn off for potential bidders. I really took a 50/50 chance gamble hoping they be in descent condition. I was kinda surprised to see the key issues in such high grades. It was like they were just pulled off the racks back in the 60's and 70's. I've checked carefully and do not detect any hint of restorations either. Here are some scans of the high grade books.
