Yeah, I heard about this a while ago, this is the reason why I dont pick up previews any more.

I know they want to pre-sell toys for big events, but you would think they could have held off on certain characters until the stories have been released.

:?

its all good, blackest night will still kick *SQUEE*!

When I saw the figure I thought it was cool but didn’t realize that Previews had spoiled anything. Maybe I just assumed that Martian Manhunter was going to be a Black Lantern? But yeah, Blackest Night is going to rock!

CBG just did an interview with DD, and he pretty much said the same thing. I would also expect Superboy to be a BL as well.

Earth-2 Superman is also going to be a Black Lantern and has an action figure that was solicited in Previews.

I haven't decided which Black Lantern to get. We are putting together a display of one of each coloured lantern and I've pre-ordered Atrocitus, St. Wussy and Indigo. Still waiting for the Orange Lantern and trying to decide which Green and Yellow lanterns to get. Definitely not Kryb; I am not letting that unholy thing near my house. They had been soliciting the Black Lantern figs for several months and had cited them by name, but they had not shown them so they wouldn't ruin the surprise of the outfits. I am glad I didn't order either of the Black Lanterns sight unseen because I don't like the way they look.

Spoiled since WWTX - Arthur Curry will also be a Black Lantern.

Hell, I didn't even know he was dead . . . :o

Will the original Supergirl be a Black Lantern? Guess Batman will wind up as one too. And who doesn't see the stupid "rainbow-lantern to make white-light to counter the black" thing that's coming?

I guess we'll wind up with Grey Lanterns from the White and Black Lanterns getting it on?

Oh, and don't get me started on the Brown Lanterns except to say that G'Nort better be one.

The White Lantern thing is obvious, but when asked about it at the DC Nation panel at WWTX, rather than coyly denying it or dancing around it like most other subjects, they flatly said that nothing was in the works for a White Lantern. Doc Solar mentioned something about someone who can master all the rings becoming a White Lantern and the first candidate is Hal Jordan who currently wears both a Green and Blue Ring and has had in the past Yellow and Red Rings. There's a cover showing Hal with an Orange ring coming up soon too.

Another thing about the Black Lanterns that was mentioned but seems to be overlooked is that the Black Lanterns are from the dead on Earth-1. Is Supergirl buried on Earth-1? I know that's why Jade is not supposed to come back as a Black Lantern, at least not yet.

I wasn't aware of that. Pretty cool.

So is the current DCU still set in New-Earth, the earth we got after Infinite Crisis? I wasn't sure if Final Crisis changed any of that junk.

But wait, Martian Manhunter dies on whatever Earth Final Crisis was set on. Was that new-earth?

Confused...

Reading this thread makes my brain hurt. Sounds like DC really screwed the pooch with all those crossovers.

Are there any other than Earth-2 Superman, who actually died on (the only at the time) Earth in some earlier crisis?

I wonder if the DC universe will question where a "Black lantern" Batman is?

Wow. Glad I'm not the only one who's expecting the introduction of Rainbow Brite- err,... White Lantern.

And there's ONLY ONE MAN who can stop the undead, and he carries a boomstick.
