Or just under the current ownership?
When Valiant first launched Magnus and Solar, who would have ever thought those 2 characters would ever be seen again.
In the 1970's, when DC bought the rights to Captain Marvel, nobody saw that coming.

Unless I win the mega-millions (which I don't play much) and buy these properties myself, then I get the feeling this is truly a dead universe. IMHO, if VEI gets any comics out ever, they won't be good.Draco wrote:At all?slym2none wrote:I've stopped waiting - I believe we won't ever see this universe we love live again.

I am a natural pessimist, don't forget.

I dunno, they have a lot more sunk in than their initial investment.tmcneil82 wrote:I can totally see VEI buying these. Hell, i can even see Image picking them up for the right price. I imagine if they sell again, they will be 1/2 of what VEI paid, at best.
If I had it to spend, I'd offer $10 million for the properties and to STFU about them forever.
Then I'd see what Mike R. had to say over at Dark Horse about getting our universe back.

Nonono... for "VEI" to STFU forever. That's part of what the $10 mill is for, see?X-O HoboJoe wrote:Dude, impossible! I think an incredibly successful launch of a new Shooterverse would bring interest to all his previous universes. (New Universe, Valiant, Defiant, and Broadway)
That's what I expect if this Dark Horse Gold Key launch is incredibly successful. If the books are as good as early Valiant I expect this launch to be incredibly successful at some point.
Just one fan's opinion.
