So I had heard a rumor that there was a new Dr. Who RPG coming out so I did some searching. Turns out there releasing a starter box set, game screen and 1 supplement book. Release date is November 09'
I have played a lot of RPG's over the years, but a dr who rpg seemed kind of pointless. Don't get me wrong, I love dr who, but how would you get a game going? Everyone would want to be the doctor or a time lord, not one of his companions.
Unfortunately there isn't any information on how this system works. I own the Dr. who rpg made by FASA in 85' which is pretty cool reference wise, but I never actually played it.
Have any of you played the old system? What do you guys think of them making a new one? would you buy it?

Just thought I would do an update on this one for you all. I picked this up 20% off at my LCS a week or so ago and I have to say its pretty good, the set comes with : players guide, game master guide, dice (d6x5), counters, and an adventure.
Its setup so you can use pre-generated characters of the doctor, martha, Sara Jane, Rose, Dona, or Capt. Jack. Or you can make your own character: Alien, time lord, robot, time cop.
Now I haven't had time to work on any of this yet but I plan on making a few characters this weekend. The creation process looks pretty simple, but there's a lot of reading involved.
Ok, thats it for now. I'll post updates on this if anyone wants to know about it.
