Well spill the beans, eh !!! What are the differences, my friend ? (HEY, when are we gonna talk on the phone again... TODAY might be nice seeing as how us two Old Soldiers can relate to this day )SnotDrip wrote:That particular issue had 2 versions to it.Knightt wrote:I have updated the list with this preview information. Now at least members know that it is out there in case, they are looking for it. And four months is quite a ways out for a preview... nice find.
Call me for a 1/2 hour then I'll call you back for a 1/2 hour.

I trade as Dead Universe Comics in the UK, which is no surprise to those who know of my legendary Dead Universe habit.

Right, there was a regular edition($2.50) without the preview, and a gold edition($4.95) with the preview.SnotDrip wrote:That particular issue had 2 versions to it.Knightt wrote:I have updated the list with this preview information. Lone Star lists it as the regular and a "virgin variant", which is the "no writing" version. Can someone confirm that there is a gold version?J-Scott-R wrote:Elementals Swimsuit Spectacular 1996 #1 and #1 Gold
I have a question about this book, I recently picked up two editions of this, an edition with writing on the cover and a variant with with no writing at all, is one of these considered the gold version or is there another one out there?

I have neither, which may be three if a gold is found?Brother J wrote:Lone Star lists it as the regular and a "virgin variant", which is the "no writing" version. Can someone confirm that there is a gold version?J-Scott-R wrote:Elementals Swimsuit Spectacular 1996 #1 and #1 Gold

I only know of 2 and the no-writing cover would be the gold

That's the only web site I saw (other than our checklist here) that is referring to it as "gold". Comicspriceguide.com refers to it as a "no logo varient (sic) cover". Lone Star refers to it as a "Variant Virgin" cover.SnotDrip wrote:I only know of 2 and the no-writing cover would be the gold

As well, GCD only has the reg cover listed. A reverse ISBN search came up with nothing. The only one that makes any sense out of the bunch is the CPG name. I doubt a "gold version" exists and AA has rather misnamed the "no-logo" variant based upon their convoluted naming convention standards. "Virgin Variant"...now that's new.Brother J wrote:That's the only web site I saw (other than our checklist here) that is referring to it as "gold". I think we really need pics in these situations to sort thru the naming hype but I think we can all agree that 2 covers exists

Yo knight...If the are no disagreements (and give it a few days for the Brits to dig themselves out of the 2 cm of snow they have) can you change the page one issue list for
Elementals Swimsuit Spectacular 1996 #1 and #1 Gold
to
Elementals Swimsuit Spectacular 1996 #1 and #1 no logo cover variant (or something like that)
Elementals Swimsuit Spectacular 1996 #1 and #1 Gold
to
Elementals Swimsuit Spectacular 1996 #1 and #1 no logo cover variant (or something like that)
