Finally some news and he does bring experience, even if it's somewhat controversial. He's a definite risk taker but some of his bold moves worked well @ Marvel (Ex. Ultimate line or was that Quesada's doing) ?
I find this promising news and I also note the lawsuit against Shooter appears officially dead - glad to see that

Rearrange the letters and you get:
"VEI has Shooter and Jemas"

It does and I think that lack of announcements coming FROM the guys at VEI, is why some wonder. I mean, why is it that every announcement BESIDES the Harbinger movie option, has come from sources other than VEI themselves? I think that is a "clue", real or not, people point to when they doubt VEI's real intentions. I think comics are in the plans, but are they the only thing? Nope. The primary thing? Who knows.dellamorte wrote:Is this really an official annoucement? Just once I would like VEI to say something about anything. The smoke and mirrors is just a damn silly way to run a business.

VEI needs to update their website: http://www.valiantentertainment.com/team
I am guessing that Mark Frangos is the VP of Marketing. And where does Fred Pierce fit in?

Jemas is not an employee to my knowledge and I have no idea whether he has an equity position.

NDAs suck.
If Jemas isn't employed by VEI and he may not be in an equitable position, then how else can he be connected? None of this crap makes any sense and all the vague BS is just nanny-nanny-boo-boo obnoxiousness.wrunow wrote: Jemas is not an employee to my knowledge and I have no idea whether he has an equity position.

Re: Bill Jemas at VEI
A while ago you popped up to defend your friends at VEI, it was then that i knew there was something going on, even it was still secretive in an annoying way.wrunow wrote:Some of us have known this for a while, but now that it's public, well, here you go:

The way you came across spoke volumes and although speculation is still rife, i will at least sit back happy in the knowledge that some movement is happening at last (or probably has been for some time).
Also i think Jemas having anything to do with VEI is a great move.
He was the decision maker at Marvel who did all the early work that took marvel from being in Chapter 11 style flailing to where they are now.
he was heavily critisised in many areas, but after following things very closely back when he was the man, i thought he did so much more good thatn bad.

I am not being vague, I just don't know what his official capacity, if any in the day to day business he has.400yrs wrote:It was right under our noses the whole time. Who knew?greg wrote:My 10,000th post was June 23, 2009 in the topic "What are your favorite songs right now?"

Bill and Jim were at VEI at the same time. Apparently Bill kept telling them to listen to Jim's suggestions on a variety of subjects, though they never did.

I only had one 10,000th post, and I only had one thing I really wanted to say,
because it was really exciting at the time and I couldn't share it yet.
I'm all out of secrets at this point. It was a nice dream for a while, though.
