Bro J just reported the finding of a new variant. One of the many who shall not be named was the one who found it.Knightt wrote:Anybody have an extra copy of Bucky O'Hare #1 (Special Edition) ? For some reason, issue #3 was hard for me to find and then finally I get it... JUST to have (I believe Brother J) find the above noted book !!! and at the same time because it is ALWAYS great to find a new books to go hunt down, but then 'blegh', you actually have to now go and hunt for it. BUT a VERY good eye on noticing this book.
I started reading Armor and I beleive that issue #2 or #3 is in error. I will double check tonight but one of those issues has the indicia as a 'Revengers' book. Anybody noticed this ?
As a side note to this: I have stopped reading Armor, it was just too painful. SO, I went to something that I TRULY have been waiting to do... I started reading Crossgen, specifically 'Crux' !!! I am totally breaking my rule here as I have YET to compile even a 'common run' of the books but I figure by the time I get to them, I will find the issues that I am still needing (not including the incredible amount of TPBs, I have all the Traveller Editions *THANKS NB).
Steve Epting is drawing Crux and it is GREAT to see his earlier work and the love that was put into Crossgen 'back in the day'.

Same here.Knightt wrote:Good deal... I got an email saying my TPB has shipped and had a Delivery Confirmation number with it as well.
We spent half an hour on the podcast we recorded last night talking about this TPB and some of the other 90s incentive variants that wiley has had up for sale. Lots of Ultraverse talk.
Link Please, I know I'm a moron , but please a link nbChiclo wrote:Same here.Knightt wrote:Good deal... I got an email saying my TPB has shipped and had a Delivery Confirmation number with it as well.

Keep an eye out at onlythevaliant.com for the new podcast. I don't know how much of the half hour of that discussion will make it into the show because somebody's a hater.

Our very own Doc Solar. He was polite during the actual conversation but afterwards was mocking Ultraverse and other DUs.Knightt wrote:Who would that be ?Chiclo wrote:I don't know how much of the half hour of that discussion will make it into the show because somebody's a hater.
I refer to him as a hater in a rather tongue and cheek manner. He lightheartedly pokes fun at Ultraverse but he did say he tuned out most of the conversation since he didn't have anything to add.

I've been a regular cast member on two podcasts now and I have got to say that the best way to get better at it is to do it. The first few aren't going to be great and they aren't going to set the tone for the rest of the podcast.Draco wrote:Been itching to do one for ages and on a regular basis too, but need to do lots more reading and research first so its smoother and actually good to listen to.Knightt wrote:Draco wrote:Knightt wrote:It'll never happen.
Maybe not by these guys.
You mean to tell me you arent wanting in?
I'd be glad to help out with the easy stuff (on-air talent) even for a handful of episodes but I wouldn't be much help with the editing.

Cheers dude, ill let everyone know when im ready to go.
Mine came in today as well. In MUCH greater shape than I anticipated and I love how they put the actual issue covers inside the book, but mine is whack. My first issue is Cyberad No 1, Vol 2 !!! Out of order, gentlemen. I guess their saving grace was that this issue IS a nice hologram on the cover AND (this is really neat), they used the silver foil cover (there is a regular cover, gold cover and silver cover)Chiclo wrote:My Cyberrad TPB arrived today.
It's rare and I'm glad to have it but it's not that great of a read.
Is your TPB the same chiclo ?
Really though, a beautiful copy, nice corners, smooth cover... just a comic out of order (hehehe leave it to me to complain about a grail book, eh ? hehehe)
Wow, it's been a long time since I have seen this post or even thought about things back then.Heath wrote:Chris, it's GREAT to see you back!
When I get home this evening, I'll dig through my books and give you a list of what I have. I have quite a few issues from around the "Deathwatch 2000" and "Rise of Magic" storylines. Anything but CyberRad is yours if you want it.
Yes, their shipping schedule was one of the worst from any company in the history of comic books, but I don't think it was their only problem. As I was reading Deathwatch 2000 as it was being released, I decided the company name - Continuity - was a joke. There just was no continuity to the story. One chapter would end with Megalith in grave danger, tangled up with a villian, and in the next chapter he would be somewhere else with no mention of the previous encounter. It just seemed they were changing the story on the fly as they went along.
I can't complain at all about the art and I'm still a big fan of Neal Adams, but the stories just didn't grab me at all.
I am glad that I came back, Heath. Really glad.
