DAN
I found a couple copies of this at my local Hastings bookstore today.
They are the newsstand edition with a $4.99 cover price. FYI
DAN
Newstands are $4.99. :o

The LCS books were $3.99 with some crappy Nomad back-up feature.

Yeah yikes on the price of newsstand comics these days!
Most $2.99 direct books are $3.99 and $3.99 direct books are sometimes
$4.99. It's all about competing for shelf space or something.
My LCS owner recently closed up shop and moved so it's either mail order
or newsstand for me right now.

I cant understand your point, but i cant help but try to educate people on these issues, instead of short term gain.
I dont have a voice though and ebay style sales are really not going to hear me no matter what i say or where i say it.
Overall this type of comic is not worth investing in and id happily pro actively sell a good recommended comic to any of my customers who were thinking of buying it over another book because it mentioned in the media.
That way ill at least feel like im contributing to the longevity of the industry instead of milking it for short term personal gain.

Bookstores still sell newsstand edition comics, I saw some a couple weeks ago. Usually they are beat to *SQUEE*, though.

Books-a-million sells them. They give a discount if you buy one of their preferred customer card something-or-others.

Around my area Borders bookstores usually carry them. A few supermarkets may carry them but I don't think that's prevalent (one Ralphs I go to had them, but most others don't).

The second print seems just as tough and pricey (and cool) as the first print.
