Well The Fantasy Shop in St Charles Missouri had their quarter sell this weekend. I went in looking for CrossGen since I had none at all of the DU. After two days of looking through 10s of thousands of comics I came out with close to 300 books bagged and boarded that looked like they were never read. It was a great time and fine. Don't know the total count yet but I left with enough to fill more than three short boxes when I got home.

I also found 6 valiants to help me out. About 30 Ultraverses that I needed also.

Some of the stuff I found was....

Brath- all but issue 1
Crossgen Chronicles all of them
Crux all but 1,2,3,9,12,15,24,25
Mystic all but 2,3,4,13,14,21,22
Negation all but 0,4,14,15,24
Route 666 all but 1 and 3
Sigil all but 1,2,9,10, 17,18
The Crossovers all of them
The First all but 1 and 7
The Silken Ghost all of them
The Path all of them except 0 and 1
Way of the Rat all but 16
X-O Manowar V2 all but 15,16,17,18,20,21

and a ton more.

They say them will have another sell with more comics around Halloween so I can't wait.

Fun time.

You will love the Crossgen books. You will have to hut down (IMO) the "top 3" of Crossgen: Sojourn, Ruse (1-12), and Meridain.

Yeah these books look great. I got some of the three you mentioned just not like the other ones. I think I got around 20 or 30 of them. The art looks amazing on these books.

There is a comic shop down south of me in Cape that has a ton of books for 50 cents. I am going to go down there and try to get some Valiants from them and maybe some Crossgens.

I picked up some pre-unity books from them last month for that price. I saw SOJOURN 1-9 down there and didn't get them. I did get Rising Stars 1-6 for that price also only need number 22 to complete them. So I hope they are there. I think I will be going there on the 10th.

Ok went to the comic shop yesterday. I didn't have much time only 10 minutes because they were closing and I had to drive back home a hour to pick up the kids.

I was able to find the SOJOURN books though and get out and get back to get the kids picked up so it worked out great.

I picked up SOJOURN 1-6, 7-12, 15-34 for 11.83. I had the other books so it worked out great. They had a ton of Crossjen and Valiants that I want. They also had a ton of Batman's from the 80's for .50. I am going to have to sell some things and take a couple hundred down there and take my time.

The problem is you never know when they are open or not. They were closing at 4:30 yesterday. I walked in and he said I'm leaving in 10 to 15.

I'm excited to get these books though!

Not so much a deal but I did just have the satisfaction of knocking Windjammer and Teshkeel off my needs list. :thumb:

Yeah they look brand new really. I think the store had them for sale and when they didn't sale they boxed them up. I really need to go back but its over a hour a way. I picked up a X-O Man 1 for 50 cents and 1/2 X-O for 50 cents the last time I went. I think there are some hidden gems in the boxes.

Next time I will go through each box and I think I have a great shot at getting close to completing Crossgen. I think I can get some last issue Valiants also.

Next time I'm going down is first part of June.

Really pretty books. I'm excited in getting the set now.

Crossgen can sure be a long journey... I think that I am about five or six away from years of trying to complete my CG collection. :!:

Man, I am only needing these few books:

Crossgen

Sigil
22

Negation
19

Rob Zombie Spookshow International
1, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9

Space Ace
1 – variant

And any of the second print covers, I don't have a one of those nor could I readily identify them, guess I should look at my own darn issue list huh ? hahaha

Likewise, if YOU are needing books, shoot me a PM and I will give what I have to you.... cause thats the way we ROLL in the Dead Universes right guys ?
