WBC, you brought a smile to my face bro.

After I carefully inspected it, I placed it in the Treasure Box. Thanks bro.

Very unexpected, super appreciated.

At least three weeks ago, I received a package and in that package was a note and three push pins: two from FemForce and one of Zealot from WildCATs.

The note read;

"Chris,
Enjoy these 2 Femforce pins along w/ Zealot from Wildcats.
From a friend on the Valiant Boards."

I have not figure you out yet but mister... thank you for the pins as I 'am' rather fond of of pins and such of certain comic universes. Thank you VERY much, kind sir.... and I will find you, oh years, I WILL find you. :thumb:

After getting that surprise, it totally turned my day around... and made it into a good day. (cue music)

Just waking up in the morning gotta thank God
I don't know but today seems kinda odd
No barking from the dogs, no smog
And momma cooked a breakfast with no hog
I got my grub on, but didn't pig out
Finally got a call from a girl wanna dig out
Hooked it up on later as I hit the do'
Thinking will i live, another twenty-fo'
I gotta go cause I got me a drop top
And if I hit the switch, I can make the *SQUEE* drop
Had to stop at a red light
Looking in my mirror not a jacker in sight
And everything is alright
I got a beep from Kim and she can f*ck all night
Called up the homies and I'm askin y'all
Which park, are y'all playin basketball?
Get me on the court and I'm trouble
Last week f**ked around and got a triple double
Freaking *NOOGIES* everyway like M.J.
I can't believe, today was a good day

Drove to the pad and hit the showers
Didn't even get no static from the cowards
Cause just yesterday them fools tried to blast me
Saw the police and they rolled right past me
No flexin, didn't even look in a *NOOGIES* direction
as I ran the intersection
Went to $hort Dog's house, they was watchin Yo! MTV Raps
What's the haps on the craps
Shake em up, shake em up, shake em up, shake em
Roll em in a circle of *NOOGIES* and watch me break em
With the seven, seven-eleven, seven-eleven
Seven even back do' lil Joe I picked up the cash flow
Then we played bones, and I'm yellin domino.
Plus nobody I know got killed in South Central L.A.
Today was a good day

Left my *NOOGIES* house paid
Picked up a girl been tryin to f**k since the twelve grade
It's ironic, I had the brew she had the chronic
The Lakers beat the Supersonics I felt on the big fat fanny
Pulled out the jammy, and killed the punanny
And my dick runs deep so deep so deep
put her *SQUEE* to sleep
Woke her up around one
she didn't hesitate, to call Knightt the top gun
Drove her to the pad and I'm coasting
Took another sip of the potion hit the three-wheel motion
I was glad everything had worked out
Dropped her *SQUEE* off, then I chirped out
Today was like one of those fly dreams
Didn't even see a berry flashing those high beams
No helicopter looking for a murder
Two in the morning got the fat burger
Even saw the lights of the Goodyear Blimp
And it read Ice Knightt's a pimp
Drunk as hell but no throwing up
Half way home and my pager still blowing up
Today I didn't even have to use my A.K.
I got to say it was a good day.

I have a couple of huge kudos here... I have not really put it out there but I NEED to thank comicsyte95. He has sent me a some really nice silver age books and yes, they are in that 'used' condition that I love but thank you dude !!! Just to name a couple books but Avengers #4, Silver Surfer #1, a nice set of ASM early issues. hehe now my Avengers #4 may only have half a cover but man, I am so psyched that I can say I have a copy... now you want to read about something AWESOME, comicsyte95 has donated to the Team Alyssa donation site once a MONTH every month for, well for a long time now and that brand of kindness, tenacity and generousity it appreciated beyond my words, I don't have the words to REALLY say how much I appreciate that. Also, we have done some trading but I always feel I am the one making out. BIG TIME kudos to comicsyte95... thanks for the friendship and thank you for the Silver Age virus !!! :)

Speaking of friendship... when Nate (tarheelmarine) came out here to Fort Huachuca, AZ we had a blast everytime we could get together. I fed him as much as I could and we had two trips, one to Tucson to go comic book cheap bin diving and the last one was to Tombstone, AZ where we had a BLAST. Well, as he promised (and it arrived today), 5 Conan TPBs arrived today, Conan 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 from Dark Horse arrived and glorious shape and with an equal amount of blood, gore and shapely women within the covers of those TPBs !!!! Thanks Nate... totally Semper Fi !!!

I always try and make sure that I post after a successful trade or an out of the blue box shows up. I just hope that when I exit the planet, I will have given more than I have received... I really do.

Big thanks to TKW for a wonder surprise gift of a Black SOlar Pnegui.

It is my first Pengui... it is very, very cool. I have not decided where to put him yet..... but I think he might go in my classroom to help protect my students from spider aliens.

Big thanks to TKW!

I had my 8 year old nephew over to my house earlier this week. He asked me about the penguin. He wasn't judgmental and thought it was kind of neat but there wasn't any way I could put a cool spin on it.

These kind of actions REALLY help. I am seeing it first hand as Alyssa is in the hospital right now with a CF complicated issue. As many times as I have played this out in my mind and was so self assured that I could be strong. Well, men... I sure don't feel very strong right now. I know that I am pysically tired with working 8 hours then driving up to Tucson (one hour) stay 6pm to 10pm then the one hour drive home. It is like being in an emotional train wreck, every day is one railroad car crashing into the next.

I've authorized to work at home (telecommute) and I think that today I need to because last night, a bit tired... I ran my truck into the ditch. Nobody hurt but it is a sign to rest up a bit. Looking back it could have been BAD (I should never have told my wife as she is now all emotional... but to me it was no big deal, retrospect :? ).

This has been the 'real first time' that I have felt fear for Alyssa. What does not make it easier is the fact that the bacteria that has colonized inside her (pseudomonas) is nigh invincible so if we cannot kill this off it will remain within Alyssa for always and having that will just make her 10 times more sensative to colds, infections, lunch infections... I can't believe I am even writing this but all the mentioned above could at some point turn fatal. So put that data, plus work, plus the long drive, plus being there in the hospital and the constant 'putting on a good face' really has my defenses down. When I walked into her room yesterday it was heart breaking because the docs put a stint in that goes from her elbow up to her armpit. No wonder they put her under to put this on her. It is heart-wrenching to see your daughter with a tube down her throat and knowing what is going on inside her... no amount of Army training gets you ready for that.

Anyways, thank you for all that you guys are doing and have done. The great care that Alyssa is receiving now is in many ways a direct reflection of the hard work board members have done in the past and present. I can't thank you guys enough. No, we are not getting ANY money, it is the current treatments and medicines that we have been donating to these many years.

Thank you

Big, BIG kudos to everyone who bought something from me over the past 9-10 months (and that means just about EVERYONE here...)!

As many of you know, especially those who asked via PM or in person, Casa Woogie is going to have a new location come next month! It couldn't have happened were it not for sacrificing the collectibles collection (and really just about anything that wasn't nailed down, for that matter). And the Valiant boardies played a HUGE role in my being able to get that task accomplished.

So, Thanks! :thumb:

I am VERY glad to be making another entry here... a BLAMMO thank you goes out to Brother J for supplying me with Futurians #0, it just came in yesterday and is already bagged/boarded and put in the collection 'press pile' with my other books. I put many of my books beneath some heavier books to flatten them out AND press the bag to the book taking the air out to make for a nice looking book. BUT the major thing here is Brother J being very gracious AGAIN by hooking me up with a very nice book... thank you Joe, we have made some great exchanges through out the years and I am glad that we are still doing so.

Thank you.
