So Jemas resurfaced in connection with VEI, according to that press item.
In a nutshell nothing official ever happened with Jemas it seems?
VEI looked competent for bringing in someone with industry experience. Of course being VEI it looks like that have managed to snatch some measure of apparent incompetence from that situation - usual service resumes?

That's one of my biggest complaints... surely they could say SOMETHING on their website! I'd even take a simple facebook style update on how the woke up this morning with the "blahs"... ANYTHING!!!!Second_Death wrote:x3robb77 wrote:x2etos45 wrote:This news makes me sad. I'm trying to keep the faith, but VEI sure is making it hard.
Is it really so difficult to update something on the website?

They seem to have taken the stance that they don't have to do that. They may not be obligated, but it sure would help them if they did. They wanted to make a big splash, I think, by saying "here's our new line, coming out in 2 months, with Jim Shooter as EIC." Well, that's not going to create nearly the mindshare market that they wanted. You have to create buzz a little earlier than that. It won't fade so quickly that you unveil things right before they arrive.etos45 wrote:That's one of my biggest complaints... surely they could say SOMETHING on their website! I dont think any of it matters now.
They have to be fully aware that the industry will not support a Valiant re boot and that there is little point in carrying on as they were intending.
Im cool with nothing until it is going to be done right and without the GK characters thats, not with these guys.
I have nothing against Dino and his crew and wish them well, but what we had hoped for in the last few years since they bought the rights aint happening.

True. The question people want answered and will have to wait forever is, what really happened to make it all go "poof".Draco wrote:I dont think any of it matters now.

I bought hardcovers, then nothing...
Its like watching Raiders of the Lost Ark and the movie ends just when they get to open the Ark. Then somebody tells you Harrison Ford is dead and nobody from the movie studio will tell you if they will finish the film or not.

My guess is it wasn't that something happened to make it all go "poof." My guess is nothing happened... and it all just sorta fizzled out. Like a dud firecracker.xodacia81 wrote:True. It certainly feels like that. The fact that nothing has been said to confirm or deny that is troubling. I can understand not wanting to "show weakness" or "protect privacy" but sometimes such silence hinders rather than helps.Heath wrote:My guess is it wasn't that something happened to make it all go "poof."
