Other than Unity what is best crossover of all time?
As much as I love Jim Starlin and The Infinity Gauntlet and Unity I think First Comics' Crossroads #1-5 was by far the best and it was the most interesting, orginal, and enteratining crossover EVER. You could one issue and get a complete story you don't have to know anything about the characters or even read any of the series.

How are you defining crossover?
I’ve never considered Infinity Gauntlet a crossover as the core story was told in the mini. Are you counting Infinity Gauntlet because of the tie-in books or maybe because the story involved many of Marvel’s core characters?
Not trying to split hairs here, but I’ve only considered stories to be crossovers if the core story crossed over regularly published titles. When I say, Unity was the best comic book crossover I’m only comparing it to similar story arcs such a Batman Knightfall—not a large company event like Infinity Gauntlet or Crisis on infinite Earths.
To muddy the water even more, are you also counting crossovers oneshots that feature characters from two different publishers or universes?

Stories like The Infinity Gauntlet didn't have the whole story told in the core series and that is why they are considered crossovers.

52 was supposed to tell us what happened during the missing year. It failed to do that. DC completely lost track of what they set out to do and as a result we have a 52 issue series that was cool in places, got really kooky, finished in a really offbeat way and left us still wondering what happened and why are things so freaking weird.xodacia81 wrote:I counted 52 as part 1 of the One Year Later story, which went across all the titles. Ok, so it was a weak choice.Drift wrote:52 isn't but Sinestro Corps War crossed over two titles and had a one-shot for part 1.ian_house wrote:How are things like Sinestro corps war and 52 crossovers?
I enjoyed 52 for the most part but think it is probably best if we ignored the whole 52/Countdown/Trinity period.
