Continüm - Issue List

Post by Doorman »

Continüm published comics sporadically from 1989 to 1994 but only published less than two years' worth. They managed to produce two original characters, the Dark and Foodang and also served as a halfway house for publisher-jumping characters, the Mighty Mites. But, their big claim to fame is the first published work by Joe Michael Linsner.

Continüm Comics Special Ashcan Edition
Continüm #1 [first appearance of the Dark, first work by Joe Linsner], 3
Continüm Presents #2
the Dark #1, 2, 3, 4 [some feature work by George Perez]
the Dark vol. II #1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 [reprints first series and moves forward]
the Dark: Convention Book #1, 2
Foodang #1 [George Perez cover]
the Mighty Mites vol. III #1, 2, 3 [written by Ben Edlund (creator of the Tick)]
the Mighty Mites vol. III #2 (black and white variant cover)

The Mighty Mites had two previous mini-series published by Eternity Comics.

Foodang moved on to August House for a two issue second volume and later over to Entity for a polybagged-with-balloon third volume one-shot.

The Dark also moved on to August House for a third volume consisting of another two issues.

And, the most successful of the bunch, Joe Michael Linsner moved on to create the very profitable bad girl character, Dawn.

hmmm, this is a weird one, I just did a search of Mile High, Lone Star and comicspriceguide.com, and NONE of them have this book listed.

I am really sure this is legit as the Continüm logo displayed verticlally on the left of the cover is consistant with other Continüm comics and I 'might' even have this issue... maaannnn, gonna have to dig my Continüm books out now.

Here's another find. It is not a comic, though.

It's a The Dark Portfolio set, signed by George Perez

I could never be sure there was an issue 3 of Continuum. I know I have #1.

I loved the concept of The Dark.
