Not a Valiant item but still a deal I am quite happy with.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... K:MEWNX:IT

It is a Grendel statue, #41 of 50. Just under $35 shipped. :D

Finally scored one of the original Bongo Spectacular hardcovers (limited 1000) from 1993 with a sharp intact dust jacket:

I'm as happy as Ralph Wiggum.

Not sure if this would be considered a “best deal” or just being in the right place at the right time, but Rob Guillory was at my LCS last Saturday and remarked my Chew #1, Script Book edition for FREE—all I paid was cover price minus my shop discount.

There was a yard sale at my apartment complex today and I grabbed some pretty cool stuff at several places but my best deal was getting season 3 of Lost for two bucks. :D

All of the N.I.O. books have pretty tiny print runs, but I do see them pop up on ebay more often than other Acclaim rarities. Might be just because the series is so awful that not many people want the books in their collection....

I bought a set of N.I.O. for $10, just to see the Rai connection. It was awful, and I gave them away to someone here - Ric Byrne, I think...

Scored these 2 rare German Simpsons Bongo variants limited to 666 and 777:

These are the German versions of the "Treehouse of Horror" annuals (called "Bart Simpsons Horror Show" in Europe) that come with original covers.

Also scored this German Avengers variant limited to 888:
