I love this dark gritty style so I thought I'd let him take a stab at some Valiant stuff. These are first sketches that will eventually be inked and then colored. Just thought I would share ... will update as I get more.

INKS UPDATE: Wow I like them a lot more now that they are inked. I liked the pencils too - I was worried they would turn out a little too cartoony for my taste. I was totally wrong there. They are going to be awesome once colored.

COLORS UPDATE: Sean's been really busy with shows and other projects but he recently sent me the new scans. I should have the work in hand soon! I like the Solar best ... hard to pick a second for me.

ARTIST UPDATE: Sean was at Comic Con so I thought I'd add a picture. (bottom)

I really like them. They're a bit cartoony but still pleasant and recognizable.

Sweet update. Thanks again for sharing. I checked out his site. Cool stuf, reasonable prices. I'm tempted to see what he could do with Darque, but will have to save some nickels first.

Looking forward to the colors! :thumb:

ME TOO!

Next up to bat: Bloodshoot, Master Darque and Turok, Ninjak or Harbinger?? Not sure if I could get him to do a group in his style or if he could capture what he does in a group shot. *shrug* Maybe just Sting but that would require some knowledge of him and I'm not sure how deep his knowledge into the universe goes.

I would go with Master Darque. I think he's a cool character and would work well with your guy's style.

Dig it. I love to see people tackle these things in their own style. All three are great

Interesting take on the characters. Can't wait to see his Master Darque.

You know it has been a loooong time since I posted these but I thought I would follow up.

The guy sent me the finished artwork but did a poor job in packaging it so it was damaged when I received it. I was very bummed. Even more annoying was the guy's failure to understand my disappointment ... this is a sore memory for me. The guy offered to do some freebies for me which I never took him up on - I was just too angry at him for his carelessness and his attitude that I was somehow wrong for wanting the items shipped securely or not at all.
