Has he done a book where everyone drowns except for a drunk and his incestuous family?Heath wrote:...they're all really about the same thing when you really boil it down - that God is just as bad as Satan.

I'm not an Ennis expert - by ANY means.
All I have read was Shadowman V2 1-4.
And then he left.
And those stunk.
I just never understood the hype - having only read those books.

I don't know. I haven't read everything he's written. Just enough to make that opinion.greg wrote:Has he done a book where everyone drowns except for a drunk and his incestuous family?Heath wrote:...they're all really about the same thing when you really boil it down - that God is just as bad as Satan.
I would agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.

His style was way too dark and gritty. Acclaim finally realized this and retooled the series starting with issue #16 (and on into the VH3 short lived series).kevinbastos wrote:I'm not an Ennis expert - by ANY means.

The worst part of that whole debacle was that the series had new writers and artists doing a pale imitation of an already unliked version of Shadowman.Daniel Jackson wrote:His style was way too dark and gritty. Great image, and a great thread. My favorite thread so far on the relaunch.

Yeah, that's when they lost me. It makes you wonder if publishers have ever heard of these things called market research, focus groups and fan opinion.

Great art. I really like that the published a pic with Rai and sorta-Gilad on it.
What/who is that energy X near X-O? It doesn't seem to be Aric's or Rai's, who's is it?
Visitor? Psi-Lords?

Do you mean the energy that could be Aric's sword?Ross2 wrote:Great art. I really like that the published a pic with Rai and sorta-Gilad on it.

Of course it is. That's the sword he's holding on Ribic's cover.magnusr wrote:Do you mean the energy that could be Aric's sword?Ross2 wrote:Great art. I really like that the published a pic with Rai and sorta-Gilad on it.

I'm super excited that Rai looks exactly like how Tohru used to look like.

Personally I am hoping the new Rai is Tohru...
He was one of my favorites characters from the original universe, even though he wasn't in it very long.

Tell that to Jesus DeSade from Preacher. He loved sodomizing Aardvarks.Chiclo wrote:Hey! He saved a lot of animals! If a bomb killed all but 2 (or 7, depending upon whether humans are kosher) people on earth, would you say the bomb saved a lot of people?

No, nor would I say Noah were properly compared to the bomb in this parable.greg wrote:Chiclo wrote:Hey! He saved a lot of animals! Your approach lacks a certain japhetic quality.
