MYNUVR Podcast REBOOT
Me and You New Universe Reading Podcast has launched!
http://www.valiantnewuniverse.com/
My eleven year-old daughter and I have begun a podcast!
We are ready to invite a MASS of people to the site to listen in to our podcast. I've caught up on the Silver Age blog, and am up to current on the writing.
Woot! Woot!
Our first episode is only a half-hour, so not TOO much commitment - but as much as we DON'T know anything about ANYTHING in the way of computers or recording, it's a pretty good look.
When we were done recording, Mads said, "That was pretty fun."
I'm planning on reading all of the new Valiant comics, and comparing them to New Universe comics, ORIGINAL Valiant comics, and ORIGINAL SILVER AGE MARVEL comics.
If you're further interested, take a look at my blogging up to this point.
And! 1500 posts! WOOT! WOOT!

My advice: don't make 'em much longer than that. I've been trying to listen to some of the OTV casts and sadly, I just don't have 60 to 90 minutes for each one.kevinbastos wrote:Our first episode is only a half-hour, so not TOO much commitment
Edit: I'm having so much fun listening to your daughter talk about comics! I wish I could get my kids into reading comics. It's kind of sad that comics are more of an adult pursuit than one for kids.

That was fun! Mads sounds like a pip. Tell her I said that any kid who's writing the names of the Harbinger gang in the street in chalk is totally awesome!

Don't shorten it to much! It matches up well to my commute.Dr. Solar wrote:30 to 60 minutes seems like the sweet spot. Working from home, I don't have a commute so I don't have much deadtime where there isn't anything else trying to yank my attention away.arghh! wrote:Don't shorten it to much! Re: MYNUVR Podcast
Enjoyed the podcast, Kevin. Looking forward to future installments. I'll be following along reading the new books, of course, but gotta finish up some other reading before I join in on the classic Valiant re-read. As for the New U, I read all the titles for about the 1st year and then dropped it down to just Starbrand and DP7 for a few more months before giving up on it altogether. I no longer have the books, but I think I remember them well enough to follow along with you for a bit.
This post has been carefully constructed so as to add absolutely nothing to any discussion or topic.

Re: MYNUVR Podcast
Uploading a new issue of the MYNUVR podcast. This issue - why collect New Universe comics? Especially as a Valiant collector, this one may really speak to you.
Enjoy!

We've recorded a new podcast!
Thoughts on X-O Manowar 2 - and Harbinger.
Then, we discuss New Universe comparisons as it gets started. Take a listen! Let us know what you think!
